No Trouble in This Double for Gurtovoy

Anatoly Gurtovoy
Anatoly Gurtovoy

Anatoly Gurtovoy couldn't bear to watch as the board was rolled out by the dealer. He was all-in for his last 434,000 and it great shape, but it was all still to much for him.

The pot opened with a raise to 60,000 from Lucille Cailly and a three-bet from Alex Mostafavi in the small blind. Gurtovoy was in the big blind and four-bet shoved. Cailly quickly folded and Mostafavi called just as quick.

Mostafavi: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}
Gurtovoy: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The board ran {10-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{q-Spades}.

Gurtovoy's friend on the rail told him on the turn that it was safe to look. Mostafavi tapped the table and paid his dues.

Mis-Step By Cailly

Andrey Gurtovoy has just had back to back double ups to thrust him right into the top three spots. MarcC brought you news of his double up versus Alex Mostafavi then this happened.

Lucille Cailly raised to 60,000 in the cutoff and Andrey Gurtovoy casually flicked a 180,000 three-bet into the pot from the big blind. Cailly quickly moved all-in and Gurtovoy called in a heartbeat.

Gurtovoy{A-Spades} {A-Diamonds}
Cailly{3-Diamonds} {3-Spades}

Gurtovoy got to his feet and stepped away from the table and Cailly just looked to the sky, no doubt thinking, what did I do that for?

Board: {K-Spades} {J-Clubs} {7-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {9-Clubs}

Gurtovoy's aces stand strong and within two hands he has moved into serious contention.

Anatoly Gurtovoy raised to 65,000 under the gun and Alex Mostafavi tanked for ages before moving all-in, much to the annoyance of Gurtovoy who folded his hand.

-

Clayton Mozdzen raised to 60,000 on the button, Jesse Martin moved all in and Mozdzen folded.

Jesse Martin Eliminated in 17th Place (€40,000)

The EPT Grand Final is a two table affair after Jesse Martin was eliminated by Vadzim Markushevski.

Clayton Mozdzen opened to 65,000 and Markushevski flat called from the cut-off before Martin moved all-in for 720,000 from the button. Mozdzen folded but Markushevski had slow played a monster and snapped.

Markushevski: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Martin: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The board ran {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs} to fill up Markushevski.

Pratyush Buddiga was not only just eliminated but he had to endure a slow roll as well, from Bernard Guigon.

The action folded to Guigon in the cut-off and he open limped before Buddiga spelled out his intentions by moving all in for 304,000. Guigon asked for a count and then called with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}!

Buddinga opened {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and was out of his chair as the board ran {q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

No back to back EPT final tables for the young American.
