Derwiche and Jorgensen Embark On a Last-Longer Bet

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Imad Derwiche had taken his seat here in the EPT Barcelona €5,300 Main Event, and he's seated across the table from Theo Jorgensen. After getting situated with his chips, Derwiche asked Jorgensen if he would want to partake in a friendly last-longer bet.

Jorgensen was up for the challenge and offered to do a €2,000 last-longer bet with Derwiche. Derwiche was in for that price, and that was that. Now we get to pay a little more attention to these two with some extra cash on the line.

Theissen Tops Seidel's Ladies

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Erik Seidel and Eric Theissen took a flop of {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{5-Clubs} in a raised pot. Seidel had first action on the flop and he bet 2,200. Theissen called and the {j-Hearts} paired the board on the turn. Both players checked to see the {a-Spades} drop down on the river.

Two more checks occurred and Seidel rolled over {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Theissen had that beat, however, showing {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a rivered pair of aces. Theissen took down the pot and brought his stack up to about 39,000. Seidel, on the other hand, dropped to 25,400.

Mercier Eliminated by Falco

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Jason Mercier - Eliminated
Jason Mercier - Eliminated

Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier and Luca Falco were heads up with the board reading {10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs}. With 9,200 already in the middle, Mercier checked his action over to Falco. Falco reached for chips and flung 15,000 past the betting line.

Mercier went deep into the tank before ultimately announcing an all-in check-raise for 25,750 total. Falco called and the hands were exposed.

Mercier: {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Falco: {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Both players made huge hands on the flop, with Falco's set of deuces edging out Mercier's two pair. The Team PokerStars Pro needed to catch a queen or a ten on the river in order to stay alive, but found no solace when the {k-Spades} finished off the board. Mercier made a quick exit from the tournament area while Falco increased his stack to about 69,000.
