Riihela Runs Out Of Gas

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Fabio Sperling has crossed the one-million mark now , after relieving Samu Riihela of his last 232,000.

Riihela got the chips in with the {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} against Sperling's {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}, never really finding any footing on an {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} board that made Sperling a full house.

Selbst Lays it Down Against Boghean

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

We just caught the end of a big pot between Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst and Andrei Boghean, and it was the former who took quite a hit.

The board showed {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Hearts} when Selbst check-called 118,000 and the river was the {7-Diamonds}. Selbst checked again - from the big blind - and Boghean bet 320,000 from the under-the-gun position.

Selbst thought for a long time before folding, and left herself with 575,000.

Unlikely Triple Up For Soika

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Loc Tu just raised to 31,000 from middle position and Ihar Soika moved all in from his direct left. Soika's shove was for 185,000 and from his direct left Koichi Nozaki made the call.

The action folded back to Tu, and he tanked for a bit before moving all in for 215,000. Nozaki called, and the showdown went as follows.

Tu: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Soika: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Nozaki: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

The flop brought out {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and Tu celebrated after hitting a set.

"Don't celebrate too quickly," a player said, and the turn was the {5-Diamonds}.

On the river the {A-Spades} hit, and Soika smirked as he had hit a straight to triple up. Tu was left with very little, while Nozaki still has a comfortable stack.

Kagawa Can't Hold

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Rintaro Kagawa
Rintaro Kagawa

Rintaro Kagawa made it 33,000 and Kiryl Radzivonau pushed all in, having Kagawa's 200,000 behind well covered.

Kagawa agonized over the call, but eventually made it with the {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, and was ahead of Radzivonau's {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

The {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} even gave Kagawa a flush draw, but he missed on the {5-Clubs} turn, and when Radzivonau hit the {k-Hearts} river, Kagawa's 2016 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final €5,300 Main Event run was over.
