Kitsios Doubles Through Gruissem

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The action folded to Georgios Kitsios in the small blind who just limped in. Philipp Gruissem shoved all in from the big blind and Kitsios called off his stack of 101,000.

Georgios Kitsios: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Philipp Gruissem: {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The flop came {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} to give Gruissem the lead with a pair of kings. The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and Kitsios made a straight. Gruissem was already drawing dead to the {q-Spades} on the river and Kitsios doubled up, leaving Gruissem with crumbs.

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Erik Seidel raised to 18,000 on the button and Steve O'Dwyer shipped all in for 212,000 in the small blind. Sylvain Loosli folded his big blind and Seidel instantly flicked in a chip to call.

Erik Seidel: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Steve O'Dwyer: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Seidel held a sizeable lead heading to the flop which fell {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}. The {2-Spades} on the turn left O'Dwyer searching for an ace but the {3-Hearts} was not meant to be as he was eliminated.

Vieira Can't Quite Double

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The action folded to Ole Schemion in the small blind who moved all in. Joao Vieira instantly called in the big blind and his 127,000 chips were at risk on the bubble. The action was paused until the hand at the other table completed.

At the other table, Charlie Carrel raised to 18,000 from under the gun and was called by Georgios Kitsios and Pablo Melogno in the big blind. The flop came {q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Carrel continued for 25,000. Kitsios called and Melogno folded.

The turn was the {9-Hearts} and Carrel led out for another 65,000. Kitsios still called and the {j-Clubs} completed the board. Both players quickly checked and Carrel tabled {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Kitsios had the goods though with {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} to win the pot.

Back at the all in, Vieira tabled {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} against the {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} of Schemion. The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Vieira still held a dominating lead. The {a-Clubs} on the turn ensured Vieira would not be eliminated, but the {j-Clubs} on the river gave both players a straight and the pot was chopped.

Loosli Doubles from the Short Stack

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The action was on Erik Seidel in the small blind who slung in a stack of T5,000 chips. Sylvain Loosli was in the big blind with 59,000 chips and used up four time banks waiting for the hand to finish on the other table. Eventually, Loosli made the call to put his tournament life on the line.

Sylvain Loosli: {k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Erik Seidel: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

The flop came {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Loosli took the lead with a pair of kings. The {9-Spades} on the turn gave Seidel a flush draw but the {4-Clubs} on the river did not help as Loosli doubled up.
