As the far shortest stack at the table, Pascal "Pass_72" LeFrancois raised to 315,000 with 24,647 behind and was called by Bert "girafganger7" Stevens from one seat over in the cutoff. "hello_totti" in the big blind jammed for nearly 1.6 million and LeFrancois called, while Stevens let go.
Pascal "Pass_72" LeFrancois:
"hello_totti":
The dominated pocket pair found no help on the board and LeFrancois exited in 16th place.
Chip leader Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger raised to 84,000 and was called by Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph on the button, short stack David "dpeters17" Peters also came along from the big blind. On the flop all three players checked and the turn was checked to Rudolph who bet 80,000. Peters check-called and Eibinger also came along.
Peters then checked the river and Eibinger bet 331,600, which forced a fold from Rudolph. Peters called for just shy of that and saw his second-best as Eibinger had rivered two pair with the to let the bubble burst.
Most of the damage was done in a prior hand when Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood lost with against the of Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford, who rivered the nut flush on a board.
Greenwood doubled once through Bert "girafganger7" Stevens before then raising to 120,000 with 32,219 behind. Stevens was in the big blind and clicked it back, Greenwood called all-in.
Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood:
Bert "girafganger7" Stevens:
Stevens picked up a gutshot on the flop and turned straight with the , which made the river a formality.
In the very next hand, David "MonkeyBausss" Laka got his short stack in from the hijack and was called by Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph in the big blind.
David "MonkeyBausss" Laka:
Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph:
The board ran out for Laka to miss and settle for 12th place, which comes with a payday of $27,629.
Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz opened it up to 107,500 and was called by Mike "SirWatts" Watson on the button, chip leader Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger also stuck around to the flop. All three players opted to check and Eibinger led the turn for 115,500. Holz raised to 295,000 with 353,187 behind to force out Watson, Eibinger raised it up and Holz called all-in.
Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle made it 107,500 to go on the button and Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph elected to three-bet to 450,000 in the big blind. Rolle ripped it in for his entire 2,230,366 and Rudolph looked him up with the superior stack.
Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle:
Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph:
Things got even worse for Rolle on the flop as he was left with one out or running straight cards. The turn shut down the latter and the one-outer never came as a blank river ended his run in 10th place for $27,629.
All remaining nine players are now on a break as the final table resumes the following day at 1.05 p.m. EST. The chip counts of all finalists and a recap of today's action are to follow.
After nearly eight hours of high stakes action, the latest 2020 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Online competition has reached the final table. Out of a field of 109 entries in EPT Online 06: $10,300 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller], only nine players remain to battle for the lion's share of the $1,090,000 prize pool and the list of contenders is filled with big names of the international poker circuit.
The field consisted of 73 unique entries and 36 re-entries but just three of the finalists had to fire a second bullet in order to secure a payday of at least $33,035. Three Austrian flags wave at the top of the leaderboard with Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger (6,704,751), Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph (5,626,653), and Daniel "SmilleThHero" Smiljkovic (3,793,541) in the driver's seat. Smiljkovic also battled for the title in EPT Online 07: $2,100 NLHE [8-Max] at the same time, which he secured after overcoming a huge chip deficit in heads-up.
Fourth in chips is Russia's "hello_totti" with 3,739,093 and Mikita "fish2013" Badziakouski turned the shortest stack on the money bubble into 2,540,686. Bert "girafganger7" Stevens (1,729,524) reached his second final table in a $10,300 buy-in for the night and the trio behind him includes Mike "SirWatts" Watson (1,321,375), Timothy "Tim0thee" Adams (1,197,681) and Conor "1_conor_b_1" Beresford (596,697).

The top 13 players cashed in the event with Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood, David "MonkeyBausss" Laka, Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz and Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle all took home a portion of the prize pool. The unfortunate bubble boy was David "dpeters17" Peters who ended up second-best to chip leader Eibinger.
The action of the Day
The first level of the day already saw four tables in play and the number of entries and re-entries grew consistently throughout the registration period. It took a while for the first big names to bust but once the floodgates opened, Alex "mexican222" Kolonias, Artur "mararthur1" Martirosian and Simon "C. Darwin2" Mattsson were the first casualties. All of them re-entered without success and were joined on the rail by notables such as EPT Online 05: $1,050 NLHE [8-Max, Win the Button] winner Claas "SsicK_OnE" Segebrecht, Andras "probirs" Nemeth, Adrian "Amadi_017" Mateos, Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi and many more.
Matthias "iambest2" Eibinger joined the big stacks when his ace-four suited cracked the kings of Alexandros "Pwndidi" Theologis and the Austrian never really looked back from there on as he kept adding chips to his stack consistently. Once the dust settled after the end of registration, some 38 players remained in contention and it didn't take long to reduce the field to the final three tables after.
Christoph "26071985" Vogelsang saw his hopes vanish in a flip with queens against the ace-king of Christian "WATnlos" Rudolph and Steve "Mr. Tim Caum" O'Dwyer was unable to convert a late entry into a payday as well. Teun "tinnoemulder" Mulder and Juan "Malaka$tyle" Pardo bowed out within moments from each other and Luke "Bit2Easy" Reeves followed suit as Eibinger throned at the top of the leaderboard with two tables remaining.
Ultimately it would be Pascal "Pass_72" Lefrancois, "ja.sam.gale" and bubble boy David "dpeters17" Peters that missed out on anything to show for with the latter falling to Eibinger with ace-eight versus ace-four in three-way action.
Bubble Boy David Peters
Play carried on to determine the nine-handed final table and EPT Online 03: $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller] winner David "MonkeyBausss" Laka missed out on the chance to win a second title only three days into the festival. Eibinger cemented his lead by knocking out Pokercode co-founder Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz, fellow online poker coach and streamer Benjamin "bencb789" Rolle then bubbled the final table to conclude the action for the night.
All remaining nine players will return the following day at 1.05 p.m. EST with just a few minutes remaining at blinds of 25,000/50,000 and a running ante of 6,000. The final table will be broadcasted with cards-up coverage and commentary on the PokerStars YouTube and Twitch channel, kicking off six days of stream action for the remainder of the festival.
