Baran Gambles to Win Huge Pot

flop, Marcel Baran and Phidias Georgiou got it all in.

on the turn meant that the Cypriot was looking very good to extend his chip lead, but the {4-Clubs}

popped up on the river.

A brutal hit for the Cypriot.

On the next hand however, he open-shoved for 114,000. Surinder Sunar, obviously suspecting Georgiou might be having a meltdown, called with {K-Diamonds}

in the big blind, but was surprised to find himself up against {K-Clubs}

. He got no help on the flop and Sunar lost a large chunk of his stack.

Fredrik Haugen opened the pot and Marcel Baran made a minimum reraise from the small blind. Smurfit moved all in for less than 60,000. Haugen folded. Baran called for not much more than he already had in the pot.
