Ernst Continues to Love the River

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

A player in middle position opened to 1,000 and received two callers, including Matt Ernst. The flop came {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and the original raiser bet 1,700. Ernst called and the turn was the {q-Spades}. Ernst called a bet of 4,000 and the {7-Diamonds} fell on the river. Ernst's opponent moved all in and Ernst snap-called. Ernst tabled {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, cracking the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} of his opponent and sending him to the rail.

Two at Risk, One Survives

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

We caught the preflop action with two players all in and at risk and {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} tabled in front of Harold Evans. Evans had his two opponents covered and crushed, leading the {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} of Daphne Barr and the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} of another opponent.

"I almost folded", Barr mentioned, just before the flop came {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. The {4-Clubs} turn kept things safe for Evans, but the {q-Spades} spiked the river, sending the Barr's opponent packing and snatching the big pot from Evans.

Barnes Busts Bailey

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Blake Barnes raised to 1,400 from under the gun and Colbert White called from middle position. Harvey Bailey moved all in from the small blind for 19,700 total. Barnes thought for a moment and then threw out chips for a call. White reluctantly folded, showing his tablemate ace-king.

Barnes: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Bailey: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Bailey hit the rail.

Giant Pot Fills Filippidis with Chips

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Keven Stammen opened to 1,300 from the hijack and Michael Filippidis called from the cutoff. Daphne Barr called from the button as did the player in the big blind. The flop came {6-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}, action checked to Stammen and he continued for 3,200. Filippidis called, Barr folded and the player in the big blind raised to 8,000.

Stammen folded and Filippidis made the call. The turn was the {k-Clubs} and Filippidis was check-called by his opponent for 20,000. After a blind check, the {10-Hearts} fell on the river and Filippidis announced "all in". His opponent had just over 20,000 remaining and thought for a while before eventually making the call and tabling {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Fillipidis turned over {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and the flush gave him a huge pot, vaulting him to what is likely the chip lead.
