Green Doubles Through Baumer Twice

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
The first of Stephen Green's Two Doubles Versus Don Baumer
The first of Stephen Green's Two Doubles Versus Don Baumer

Stephen Green shoved his last 78,000 and Don Baumer called.

Green had {q-}{j-} and Baumer had {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Green flopped two pair and stayed ahead to double through the chipleader.

Shortly after that, Green got all in again against Baumer with {a-}{q-}. Baumer had {5-}{5-}, but a queen hit the turn and Green doubled again.

Green is staying alive and trying to outlast Joshua Turner who is playing one of the side events.

Green is in contention for the HPO St. Louis Series Leaderboard and has a shot to win an HPO Championship Event seat in Las Vegas at the M Resort.

If Green wins the Main Event he will win the seat and the second place guy on the leaderboard will get the seat. So there is a way for both him and Turner to get seats to the event.

Paul Fehlig Eliminated in 12th Place ($5,269), DB On A Tear, Takes Chip Lead

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante
Don Baumer
Don Baumer

Don Baumer is running white hot right now. It wasn't too long ago he was the chip leader with almost 700,000, but after some hits and the natural tournament flow, he got down to about 600,000.

Now he is over 1-million and reclaims the chip lead from Lloyd Ney.

The series of hands went like this.

Hand #1: Paul Fehlig and Baumer were heads up and Baumer had placed a 100,000 bet on the turn. The board read {6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Fehlig called.

Baumer bet another 100,000 when the {3-Hearts} hit the river and Fehlig called. Baumer showed {7-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a flush and won the pot of more than 500,000.

Hand #2: The very next hand, Baumer was on the button and two players limped before he acted. He set out a stack of chips and called all in, which got the table to quickly fold.

Hand #3: About two minutes after that, Baumer eliminated Fehlig with {k-}{k-} against the {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} of Fehlig. The two shook hands and Fehlig hit the rail

Lou Pedroli
Lou Pedroli

Lou Pedroli got all in for his tournament life against Michael Kamenjarin.

He was ahead with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} against the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} of Kamenjarin.

The flop gave Kamenjarin a set, when it came {q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}.

"Damn," said Pedroli, "king!" he called as the dealer put the turn out.

The turn was the {4-Spades}.

"Spade!" said Robert Keeling cheering for his friend Pedroli to win the hand.

The river was indeed a spade, the {10-Spades}, giving Pedroli the hand and the full double up.

Baumer, who has been on a massive upswing and is now over 800,000 had {10-}{10-}, which was just better than the {9-}{9-} of Haner.
