Jay McVeigh and Corey Williams got stacks all in preflop with McVeigh in the cutoff and Williams in the big blind. Williams was the one at risk for his tournament life as the two found themselves in a coin flip situation.

Williams Ramps Up the Pressure

Preflop action saw 290,000 into the pot four ways between Glenda McCall in early position, Jeff Banghart, who was on the button, Corey Williams in the small blind, and Jason Su in the big blind.

The flop came and all four players checked. The turn came and Williams led out with a bet of 80,000. Su raised it up to 175,000 and got folds from McCall and Banghart.

Williams went into the tank for a bit, ultimately three-betting all in to put Su to a decision for his tournament life. Su thought for over a minute and decided to let his hand go, sending it to the muck as the dealer sent the pot Williams' way.

Su found luck on the flop . However, that luck would run dry as the turn fell to leave him in need of hitting one of the remaining eights in the deck. He was unable to do so as the river fell to result in Su's departure from the tournament as the ninth-place finisher.

McCall Gets a Check-Shove Through

David Levy was under the gun and opened the action with a raise to 85,000. He received a call from Tan Hoang, who was on his left, and action proceeded to fold around to Glenda McCall, in the big blind, who defended.

The flop came and McCall checked. Levy fired a continuation-bet of 185,000 and Hoang folded. McCall then check-raised all in for 775,000, approximately the same amount that Levy had prior to his bet. Levy thought for some time and let his hand go, resulting in the dealer sending the pot McCall's way.

McVeigh Triple in Improbable Fashion

Tan Hoang raised to 65,000 from under the gun and Jay McVeigh went all in over the top of him from his direct left. Action folded around to Glenda McCall, who called from the small blind. Hoang then asked for a count, which was totaled to be 280,000, and announced he was all in. McCall called.

McCall was in great shape to earn a knockout and more than a double, while McVeigh was far behind with his ace-ten. The flop came , changing everything as it gave McVeigh three tens. The turn fell and the river came to complete the runout.

McVeigh won the main pot and secured a triple. McCall's hand remained best for the side pot and she ended up profiting in the hand despite missing the chance at the knockout. Nonetheless, eight-handed play continues with a sizeable shift to the leader board to go along with it.

McVeigh then found action on him and check-raised all in. Small folded to put action back on Hoang, who asked for a count. The number was totaled to be 705,000.

After some thought, Hoang folded face-up and McVeigh took down the pot with his flop check-shove.

The river fell and Small checked once more. Hoang thought for a bit and fired out 450,000. Small checked his cards and sent them to the muck.

Meglich Takes the Chip Lead

Robert Meglich saw action folded to him on the button and limped in. He went heads up to the flop with Corey Williams after Williams checked his option. Williams then checked to Meglich, who bet 75,000. Williams called.

The turn came and Williams checked again. Meglich bet another 175,000 and received another call. The river fell and Williams checked to Meglich once more. Meglich fired out another 300,000 and Williams went into the tank for about 30 seconds before putting out a call.

Meglich tabled for a full house and took down the pot, taking the chip lead and leaving Williams as one of the shorter stacks again with eight still remaining.
