Petrov with 100K

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Its hard to tell who is the early chip leader with more than 40 tables in play but it could be Aleksei Petrov who is sitting on a stack of around 100,000 in chips.

Petrov recently picked up some chips in a pot against Radovan Kakulos.

The pot between the two built up to 14,000 with the {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} on the board. Kakulos checked and Petrov bet 8,500. Kakulos tanked for a minute before he tapped the table and folded his hand.

Casino Streamer Lahtinen Jams

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Jari Lahtinen is a well-known Finnish slots streamer under the Jarttu84 handle.

Lathinen has shown before in Tallinn that he can also compete in the skill game of poker.

In a recent hand, Hans Fernkvist opened to 1,500 from early position and got calls from Lahtinen and two other players.

Fernkvist bet 3,000 after the {q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} came on the flop. Lahtinen called and the other two players folded.

Fernkvist fired out again, this time for 6,000 after the {3-Clubs} came on the turn. Lahtinen paused for about 30 seconds before he jammed.

"How much?" asked Fernkvist.

"About 24K," responded Lahtinen.

Fernqvist eventually folded and Lahtinen chipped up without a showdown.

Sand on the Rail

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Popular Norwegian player Fiona Sand is on the rail.

She recapped with PokerNews her bad beat experience.

Sand explained that she first flopped a set with {3-}{3-} on a {3-}{7-}{9-} flop and her opponent hit a pair on the flop holding {a-}{7-}. Sand's opponent bet, Sand raised, and she got a call.

Sand improved to a full house after the {9-} came on the turn. Her opponent bet, she jammed her stack and her opponent called.

The {7-} came on the river to give Sand's opponent a better full house. Sand shared she will not likely re-enter at least in Day 1a.

Venckus with Rockets

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Steponas Venckus opened from the hijack for 1,200. Ville Jantunen three-bet to 3,400 from the small blind. Venckus four-bet to 6,9000 and Jones called.

Jantunen open-jammed for 22,000 after the {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} came on the flop. Venckus was covered with 10,000 behind and made the call.

Steponas Venckus: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Ville Jantunen: {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

Venckus was ahead but had to sweat a flush-draw from his opponent. No club came the rest of the way with the {j-Hearts} appearing on the turn followed by the {10-Diamonds} on the river and Venckus doubled up.

Venckus with Cowboys

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

It's been a good blind level for Steponas Venckus getting paid on both rockets and cowboys.

Carl Shaw opened for 1,200 before Ville Jantunen jammed for 9,600. Mate Mecs called before Venckus four-bet jammed for more than 40,000. Shaw and Mecs both folded and players turned over their cards.

Steponas Venckus: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Ville Jantunen: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

The {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Spades}{3-Spades} board was a safe one for Venckus and he sent his opponent to the rail.

Thorvaldsen's Set No Good

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Rauno Arras bet 1,500 into a pot of around 5,000 with the {4-Hearts}{7-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} on the board.

Andreas Thorvaldsen raised to 15,500 and Arras three-bet jammed for 42,000.

Thorvaldsen said his raise was a misclick and meant to raise to 3,500 before he made the call.

Rauno Arras: {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Andreas Thorvaldsen: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

It was a huge cooler for Thorvaldsen who shook his head immediately after he saw his set was behind his opponent's straight.

Thorvaldsen was unable to improve to a full house with the {5-Clubs} completing the board on the river and he doubled up Arras.
