Day 2 of the Texas State Main Event Kicks Off at 1 p.m. with 218 Hopefuls
The much anticipated Day 2 of the Texas State Main Event finally gets underway today at 1 p.m. local time.
After five opening days of action that saw 1,818 entries more than doubled the $1 million guarantee, Day 2 arrives with 218 players left standing all looking to make a deep run and go for the ultimate first place prize of $355,420.
Action will resume today which 7:10 remaining at Level 16, (4,000/8,000/8,000). Level 17 and 18 will be 40 minutes in length but each level beyond that will elongate to 60 minutes.
All players are in the money now and play will still be quite deep as a total of 10 players have returned with stacks over 1 million, 18 players will have over 100 big blinds and the average stack is 52 big blinds to start the day.
Leading the pack is Christopher Doan with 1,726,000 in chips. James Crowshaw is second with 1,571,000 and Joon Park is third with 1,428,000.
