Ray Henson Eliminated in 5th Place ($145,000); Anh Van Nguyen Eliminated in 4th Place ($195,000)

Anh Van Nguyen- 4th Place
Anh Van Nguyen- 4th Place

Joe Tehan moved all in from the cutoff and received an immediate call from Anh Van Nguyen on the button. Ray Henson then called all in from the big blind and both he and Nguyen were at risk. The cards were turned up:

Nguyen: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Tehan: {K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Henson: {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

Nguyen was ahead and stayed there as the flop came down {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. In order to knock out two opponents, Tehan needed to catch a king or five. Wouldn't you know it, the dealer burned and turned the {K-Spades}. The crowd erupted in disbelief at what had just happened. Suddenly the two at risk players needed an ace to stay alive and chop with one another. It was not meant to be as the river came the {2-Clubs} and Tehan took down the pot. Just like that, the field went from five to three.

Henson had less chips than Nguyen so he finished in fifth place for $145,000 while Nguyen became the fourth-place finisher and will take home $195,000.

Al Grimes - 3rd Place

Joe Tehan raised to 165,000 and Al Grimes moved all in for 590,000. Tehan made the call.

Tehan: {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Grimes: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and Grimes took the lead with a pair of sevens. The turn brought the {9-Hearts} and that put Tehan back in the lead. Both players also held a straight draw.

The river completed the board with the {K-Diamonds} and that was it, Grimes finished in third place for $250,000. The remaining two players are now taking their dinner break until 8:00 PM PST.

Let's Do It!

NAPT host Neil Johnson has called the players back to their seats and briefed them on the resumption of play. The two men are being announced to the crowd right now, and Johnson has asked them to stand and shake hands.

"Can we just, like, shake hands and fight for it?" DeMaci said with a broad smile. "No offense, but I like my chances a little better."

The cards are back in the air, and there are about 7 minutes left in the current level.

Joe Tehan raised from the button to 160,000 and Chris DeMaci called. The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and both players checked.

The turn paired the board with the {J-Spades} and DeMaci led out with a bet of 210,000. Tehan called.

The river card was the {K-Clubs} and DeMaci paused. He then reached for some chips and fired out 360,000. Tehan folded and this pot went to DeMaci.
