The action folded to Rodney Spriggs, who moved all-in for around 600,000 chips. Kenny Baggett and Simon Webster folded, but Mike Marn snap-called from the big blind.

Mike Marn: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Rodney Spriggs: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}

"That's about the worst hand I could be up against," Spriggs said, standing up.

Marn was up on his feet to join him when the flop came {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{j-Clubs}. Spriggs flopped a straight to put Marn well behind. The players all reacted with disbelief.

Marn would need a nine or ace to chop or running cards to a full house to stay alive in the tournament. The turn brought the {4-Clubs}, leaving Marn with just the chop outs.

The river paired the board with the {j-Spades}, and Marn makes an unexpected exit in 5th place for $10,478.

"I've gotta go back to playing more stupid," Spriggs said after Marn left the table. "That's how I win these things."
