Tang Busts Peng

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Zhongcai Peng
Zhongcai Peng

There has been another all-in and a call resulting in another elimination, with China's Zhongcai Peng the man to hit the rail and Hong Kong's Danny Tang the man to send him there.

We are not sure who pulled the trigger first as the cards were on their backs as we arrived, but Peng was the shorter of the two stacks.

Zhongcai Peng: {q-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Danny Tang: {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Peng celebrated the {q-Spades}{3-Spades}{4-Spades} flop with a fist bump but went from happiness to hopelessness with the arrival of the {a-Clubs} turn. The {5-Clubs} river completed the hand, and Peng's tournament and the field is now down to 12. Tang stacked up to 215,000.

Huang Busts to Tang

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Bryan Huang
Bryan Huang

There has been another elimination with Singapore's Bryan Huang falling at the hands of Danny Tang, who is running pretty hot right now.

All the chips went in on the flop after the two became embroiled in a raising war on a board reading {2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades} with Huang the man to re-raise shove over the top of a Tang button bet.

Bryan Huang: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Danny Tang: {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Unfortunately for Huang, he was at-risk and out-kicked and the {7-Diamonds} turn and {5-Spades} river provided no succor for the Singaporean who hit the rail, while Tang stacked up to 320,000.

Chong Shows Andre the Door

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Cyril Andre
Cyril Andre

A battle of the blinds saw France's Cyril Andre depart at the hands of Malaysia's Victor Chong to thin the field by one more. Andre was the short stack, open shoving for close to 11 big blinds from the small blind and Chong woke up with a hand in the big blind. Andre had king-five offsuit and Chong had ace-queen and a queen-high flop brought Andre's tournament to an end.

Chong and Leow Tangle

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Ivan Leow has been fairly active at the final table so far and has been playing quite a few pots. The latest of these was against fellow countryman Victor Chong.

We missed the pre-flop betting amounts but picked up the action on the flop of {j-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{k-Spades}. It appeared that the two had got into it pre-flop and there was close to 30,000 already in the pot and Leow (small blind) had first stab opportunity.

Leow fired for what looked to be a near pot-sized bet and Chong (cutoff) hit the tank for a spell, but eventually made the call and the {j-Clubs} came in on the turn to double pair the board. This saw both players check and the river was the {10-Diamonds}.

Leow checked once more and Chong slid out a tower of orange 5k chips totaling close to 100,000. Leow folded and Chong took it down.

The Leow Show

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

The Leow show continues on the final table, with the Malaysian player taking down a decent pot pre-flop with some well-timed aggression. It was Chung Yuan Yu the man to open the action, making it 11,000 to go from UTG, with UTG+1 Victor Chong re-raising to 27,000.

Action folded around to Leow in mid-position and he thought it over before sliding out a big stack of 5k chips for a three-bet of 63,000 and both opponents folded immediately.

Bad Beat for Tang Before Dinner

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Danny Tang
Danny Tang

A huge pot went down that saw Albert Paik dish out a nasty beat to Danny Tang. It was Paik who was the initial aggressor, making it 12,000 to go from early position, with Tang re-raising to 37,500 from the cutoff.

Tang had been active in a few pots from late position and this may have been going through Paik's mind when he opted to pull the trigger. Tang called immediately and the cards were turned over.

Albert Paik: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Danny Tang: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Paik was at risk and behind but the {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{j-Diamonds} flop was just what he was looking for. The {4-Spades} turn completed his flush and the {4-Clubs} river saw Paik double to 560,000. Tang took the hit stoically like the professional he is, but will have been happy to go on the 40-minute dinner break, which the final nine players headed off on not long after the hand.
