Day 3 Started
Welcome back for Day 3 of the 2010 Full Tilt Poker Merit Cyprus Classic Main Event. If today is anything like yesterday, we're in for a lot of fun on the felt.
The field has been cut down to 45 players and only 18 of them will make the money. The bubble should burst today as the plan is to play six levels or until the final 10 players are left, whichever comes first. Manig Loeser heads the pack for Day 3 with 337,000 chips. He's the only player above 300,000, but there are a group of players not too far behind including Chris Karagulleyan (275,700), Kerem Kiyak (270,900) and Zsolt Vasvenszki (260,800).
Plenty of the big names dropped yesterday. Chino Rheem, John Racener, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, Antonio Esfandiari and Sorel Mizzi all hit the rail, as well as the beautiful Jennifer "Jennicide" Leigh. Those still left include Van Marcus, Bruno Stefanelli, David Benyamine, Kelly Kim and John Dolan.
Play kicks off at 2:00 pm local time and that's jus a short while away. PokerNews will be live from the tournament floor then. Stay tuned!

The cards are in the air for Day 3!
Level: 13
Blinds: 1,200/2,400
Ante: 300
Joe Cassidy has yet to show up to Day 3. He showed up late to Day 2 and even registered in the last level on Day 1b. Some extra sleep never hurt anyone, unless your short stacked like Cassidy is.
Kursat Bayrakcı raised to 6,500 in middle position and Rony Jazzar, the shortest stack to start the day, went all in for 13,000 total from the small blind. Bayrakcı called and the hands were revealed.
Bayrakcı:
Jazzar:
The board ran out and Jazzar doubled to about 30,000. Bayrakcı took a minor hit down to about 198,000.
Kandis Harris' Main Event has come to an end after she ran into an opponent's pocket kings. No help came for Harris and she was unfortunately eliminated early in Level 13. With her elimination, there is no doubt that the remaining field has a lot less beauty.
Kandis, we hate to see you go, but love to see you walk away.
Joseph El Khoury, or better known as "The Lebanese Cowboy", was all in for 44,400 on the flop of . His opponent, Yılmaz Oguz, tanked for a couple of minutes before finally folding and showing the .
"What is this? What is this?" questioned Rob Peltekci.
Khoury is now up to 65,000 in chips.
