Brussianos Bubbles Merit Cyprus Classic!

Elias Brussianos is your bubble boy!
Elias Brussianos is your bubble boy!

Elias Brussianos moved all in for 91,000 from early position and Georges Hanna called from the big blind. Brussianos held the {K-Spades}{J-Hearts} and Hanna the {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

The flop, turn and river came down {3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and just like that the bubble burst with Brussianos finishing one spot out of a cash.

Everyone left is now getting paid at least $12,995. We'll have the redraw for you shortly.

Video Games for Kim

Chris Cellery came over to tell us that we need to mention about Kelly Kim's video game habits. All tournament long, Kim has been seen on his phone playing some sort of game. He's been playing a game called UniWar and only seems to put the phone down for the moments when he's involved in a hand. Other than that, he's playing nonstop. Nonetheless, he's made it to the money for the second year in a row, even if he is only paying half attention.

In Kim's defense, some of the best and brightest young stars in the game nowadays have roots in gaming and have transitioned nicely into poker. Looks like Kim can do both at once.

Day 3 Ends with Everyone in the Money

Another day is in the books here at the 2010 Full Tilt Poker Merit Cyprus Classic. A solid field of 45 players hit the felt at the beginning of the day with only 18 left spread across two tables after it was all said and done.

Mathieu Clavet had himself a great day on the felt and he'll go into Day 4 with 650,000 chips. The chip leader to enter the day was Manig Loeser and he finished with less chips than he started with, bagging up 238,000.

Joe Cassidy showed up late and exited early on Day 3, with Rony Jazzar, Andrew Feldman and John Dolan following him out the door.

The stories moving onto Day 4 will be with a few names that are in the money. Kelly Kim finished in 11th place in this event last year and is in line to go deep again. Eric Mizrachi was the better of the two brothers who showed up in Cyprus and he's also in the money, but will be the shortest stack to start the day tomorrow. David Benyamine placed fourth in the $25,000 High Roller Freeze-Out and he's also still in the field.

Play resumes tomorrow at 2:00 pm tomorrow. Be sure to get back here to PokerNews then for all the coverage from Cyprus!
