Marek Tatar made it 14,000 to go from first position, and both Jan-Peter Jachtmann on the button and "je" in the big blind made the call. The measly looking flop got the fireworks going as Tatar continued for 35,000, Jachtmann made the call and je moved all-in for 112,500 total. Tatar came back over the top for 260,000 total, and that was enough for the partypoker Ambassador to throw in the towel.
Tatar confidently revealed but they were trailing the of je, and that didn't change as the dealer burned and turned the . Jachtmann jumped out of his seat as he would have made a set on the turn had he called, and that would have been enough for the win as the river came .
As it was je instead raked in the massive pot, but both Tatar and Jachtmann are doing just fine as well.
Kacper Pyzara just scored a much needed double as he got his stack of 124,000 in with against the of Paul Michaelis. The board ran out and Pyzara dragged the pot.
Partypoker Ambassador Natalia Breviglieri is on top of the world after she just shipped the partypoker LIVE Millions Charity Event. Partypoker decided to generously double the amount donated to charity to €10,000.
So incredibly happy to have just won €10,000 in the @partypokerlive Charity Event for @LindseyLodge #♦
— Natalia Breviglieri♦ (@N4talB)
Breviglieri shared with PokerNews, she feels more emotional as compared to other poker success and will need to wait a little while before hopping into the Day 1e field. She explained that winning money for charity feels much nicer than winning money for yourself. She also shared she can't wait to get home to donate a fat check of €10,000 to a local charity that is near and dear to her heart, the Lindsey Lodge Hospice.
It didn't appear that Breviglieri would get anywhere near a victory early on the in event. She first chopped a pot after getting it all in on a jack-high flop holding king-jack against fellow partypoker Ambassador Jan-Peter Jachtmann after the board pair and an ace appeared on the river.
Then when play was five-handed, she was down to a little more than three big blinds after she three-bet jammed all-in with pocket queens and was unable to hold against German ex-footballer Stefan Effenberg's king-jack after he called.
After that lady luck was on Breviglieri's side.
"I got a bit lucky after that," Breviglieri shared. "I shoved pocket fives and was called by pocket nines. The board ran four cards to my flush and after that, I didn't look back as I have plenty of short-stack experience."
Norbert Berent hasn't had the best of starts to this level. First off he made it 50,000 to go from the button over a raise of 17,000. Ognjen Sekularac in the big blind moved all-in for 169,000 with , and Berent made the call holding . The board ran out , and Sekularac was awarded the pot.
Less than an orbit later it was Robert Auer's turn to score a double. When the action folded around to him in the small blind, he moved in for 127,000 and Berent called in the big blind. Auer's was well ahead of the of Berent, and five community cards later - - Auer raked in the chips.
Despite the setback, Berent is still sporting a stack above the current average of 323,000.
Belgian player SUPER_MARIO just shoved his 70,000 chips over an opening raise of 21,000, but before the action was back on the original raiser, Andrei Grimberg on the button committed the chips. That prompted SUPER_MARIO to gather his possessions and stand up from the table, but when the cards were turned up after everyone else got out of their way, it was the Belgian who was the massive favorite to secure the pot.
SUPER_MARIO:
Andrei Grimberg:
Grimberg didn't look impressed by his opponent when he was shown the two aces, but the double still came through for SUPER_MARIO as the board ran out .
