Day 3 of the $25,000 High Roller Event is set to begin at noon. That's around a half an hour away from the cards being in the air and the trek to crown a new champion.
Team PokerStars Pro Dario Minieri wrapped up yesterday as the chip leader, holding 430,700 chips. Michiel Brummelhuis and Vivek Rajkumar are the two people next in line, but Brummelhuis is the only other player with over 400,000 chips. Other members of Team PokerStars still remaining are Greg Raymer, Sandra Naujoks and Joe Cada.
With 24 players remaining, eight of them will not be making the money this year. In all, 16 places will be paid and the winner will be taking home of $575,000. Play will last until the final table has been determined and then the players will finish things off tomorrow.

From under the gun, Nick Schulman raised to 6,000 and was called by Michiel Brummelhuis. The flop came down and Schulman continuation bet 9,000. Brummelhuis made the call.
The turn card added the to the board. Schulman fired again for 22,500 and won the pot.
Schulman was one of two players left in the High Roller Event that were up until 4:00 a.m. last night playing a $400-800 mixed game in the cash-game section. Brett Richey was the other player playing today that was in the game as well.
Sandra Naujoks raised to 6,600 and Nick Schulman called from two seats over. Action folded around to the big blind. There sat Alex Brenes and he put in a reraise to 29,600. The squeeze play worked for Brenes, as he took down the pot and picked up some chips.
From the button, Sandra Naujoks raised to 8,300. Nick Schulman called out of the big blind before the dealer dealt the first three community cards: .
Schulman checked to the preflop aggressor and Naujoks fired 9,000. Schulman made the call.
The turn was the and action was on Schulman. He took a few moments with his decision. After a little while passed, Naujoks began reaching for chips and motioning to bet. Schulman chirped up to stop her and informed her that he had yet to act. She put the chips back in her stack and then another few moments went by before Schulman fired 20,000. Naujoks now tanked and eventually folded her hand, giving Schulman the pot.
Schulman moved up to 190,000 and Naujoks dropped to 197,000.
