Lykov Flush With New Chips

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante

Action folded to Leo Fernandez in the small blind who raised to 110,000. Max Lykov called out of the big and the flop fell {2-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {a-Hearts} and Fernandez checked again. Lykov fired 155,000 and Fernandez called.

The river brought the {6-Diamonds} and Fernandez checked a third time. Lykov slid out 395,000 and Fernandez snap-called.

The hands weren't open right away though and things became confusing because the dealer said it was 295,000. The floor ruled that Fernandez was allowed to re-act on his hand and he called anyway.

Lykov rolled over {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the nut-flush, Fernandez mucked and Lykov increased his stack to 1.9 million chips. Fernandez slipped to 2.3 million.

Seidel Jumps into the Chip Lead

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante

After winning a sizable pot, Erik Seidel checked with the board reading {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Leo Fernandez fired 100,000. Seidel called.

Both players checked the {9-Clubs} on the turn and the river brought the {3-Diamonds}. Seidel led for 250,000 and Fernandez called.

Seidel rolled over {a-Hearts}{9-Spades} for two pair, Fernandez mucked his hand and Seidel is up to 2.58 million chips. Fernandez dropped to 1.7 million.

Metaal Crippled Then Triples

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante

Action folded to Govert Metaal who put in a large, committing raise from the small blind. Will Molson moved all in from the big and Metaal called.

Metaal: {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}
Molson: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and Molson doubled to 1.15 million chips.

Metaal was left with just 69,000 and moved all in the next hand with the button. Molson flatted in the small blind only to fold when Leo Fernandez re-shoved from the big. Metaal's {q-Spades}{10-Hearts} was racing against Fernandez's {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and he took the lead immediately when the flop fell {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}. He held when the turn and river came {2-Spades}, {q-Hearts} respectively and tripled to 215,000 chips.

Metaal Still Alive, Doubles

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 4,000 ante

Action folded to Erik Seidel who raised enough to put Govert Metaal all in and Metaal called.

Seidel: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Metaal: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Metaal was dominated, but the {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop gave him three outs to a straight. The {3-Diamonds} on the turn was a blank, but the {k-Hearts} spiked on the river giving Metaal a winning straight.

Metaal doubled to 506,000 chips while Seidel is still over 2 million chips.

Govert Metaal Eliminated in 5th Place ($240,470)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Govert Metaal - 5th Place
Govert Metaal - 5th Place

Govert Metaal shoved all in for 470,000 from the hijack seat and Will Molson re-shoved from the cutoff. The button and blinds folded and the hands were opened.

Metaal: {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Molson: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}

Molson was way ahead before the flop, and when the dealer fanned {j-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{j-Hearts} it was all over. The turn ({6-Hearts}) and river ({k-Diamonds}) were meaningless and Metaal was eliminated in 5th place for $240,470.
