The first day of the $25,000 High Roller event here at the 2011 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure drew an impressive 151 entrants into the $25,000 High Roller and after eight levels, 90 players ramin
The chip leader to start Day 2 is Ryan "toetagU" Fair with 217,000. Hot on his heels is 2010 PCA High-Roller Champ William Reynolds with 170,800. Joining Fair and Reynolds towards the top of the counts are Ty Reiman (205,400), Kyle Julius (173,500) and Team PokerStars Pro Leo Fernandez (167,600).

Sam Iola was all in for his last 23,500 with and up against the of Brett Richey. The flop was disaster for Iola, but the turn gave him a gut-shot straight draw. Unfortunately for him, the river was the and he was eliminated early on Day 2 of the $25,000 High Roller.
Team PokerStars Pro (Germany) Sandra Naujoks was down to about 17,000 and put her tournament life on the line with . She was up against the of Matt Affleck and in bad shape when the flop fell .
When the dealer burned and turned the , Naujoks was left drawing dead. The was put out on the river for good measure as Naujoks exited the tournament area. Affleck is up to 68,000 after the win.
On a board reading , Taylor Paur bet 13,000 and Vanessa Rousso popped it to 35,000 from the button. Paur thought for a bit before tossing in a call.
Rousso confidently showed for two pair with ace high; however, Paur showed for a full house. Rousso must've only seen the ace as she thought it was a chop. The dealer pointed out the queen and Rousso dropped to 29,000 after the hand.
Matt Affleck was all in preflop for 69,000 holding and up against the of Chino Rheem. It was off to the races as the flop came down . Affleck had survived the flop and just needed to sweat two more cards.
The changed nothing and brought Affleck one step closer to a double. When the peeled off on the river, that double came to fruition. Affleck is now up to 141,000 while Rheem was left with just 24,000.
After a couple raises in front of him, Brent Hanks moved all in for 22,500 more from the big blind. Only Taylor Paur made the call and the cards were turned up:

It was another race situation but not so much after the flop fell . Paur was still ahead and left Hanks drawing thin. The turn changed nothing and neither did the river. Hanks was eliminated from the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $25,000 High Roller Tournament, while Paur chipped up to around 145,000.
Matt Affleck was under the gun and opened for 2,800. Kyle Julius was next to act and made the call. Cliff Josephy was next in line and moved all in for a total of 28,200. Action folded all the way back to Affleck and he quickly called. Julius folded and the cards were turned up:

Josephy desperately needed an eight but couldn't connect as the board ran out . He was eliminated from the High Roller tournament while Affleck continued his Day 2 hot streak.
