Team PokerStars In the House

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

We've already spotted a handful of Team PokerStars Pro's in the field today including Maria Mayrinck, Daniel Negreanu (fresh off of his second place finish in the $100,000 Super High Roller event), Fatima de Melo, Jason Mercier and Jonathan Duhamel.

In fact, Mercier and Duhamel are sitting at the same table.

The field is expected to be much larger than yesterday's and we'll surely let you know who else is in the field.

Table of Doom

OneWe've recently discovered a table that is by far the most stacked in the room, but unfortunately it'll be among the first to break. Seated at the table are:

There are still a couple empty seats at the table, so one can only wonder who will sit down next!

Million Dollar Challenge Participant in Action

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

A while back on the PokerStars.net Million Dollar Challenge, a jovial man by the name of Johnny Whitt took his shot at $100,000. Whitt is a Southern jokester from Houston, Texas, with a great sense of humor and a pet rooster. He reminds one of mix between Doyle Brunson and Santa Claus, and was called called “a mountain of a man” by host Chris Rose. Whitt did quite well on the show, ultimately falling to Daniel Negreanu in Round Three. He then appeared on the "Challenge of Champions", but feel short there as well.

Whitt is back in action today at the PokerStars.net Caribbean Adventure, and is looking for more PokerStars glory.

Islidur1 Shows a Deuce

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

An early position raiser made it 250 to go only to be reraised to 650 by a player in middle position. Viktor Blom, the newly outed "Isildur1", was next to act and smooth-called behind. The original raiser got out of the way and it was heads up to the flop, which came down {7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

The middle position player was first to act and checked to Blom, who wasted little time in betting 500. Maybe it was intimidation knowing that the bettor was an online legend, but either way the middle position folded. Blom then showed the {2-Clubs} and raked in the small pot. He is down from the original starting stack, sitting with around 27,000.
