One for the Champ

On the {K-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, two Team PokerStars Pros were in action as Jonathan Duhamel was up first against Eugene Katchalov. Duhamel checked and Katchalov bet 1,200. Duhamel made the call.

The turn was checked by both players after the {5-Spades} fell and then the {4-Spades} completed the board on the river. Duhamel bet 2,650 and Katchalov mucked his hand. Ship this one to the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champion.

Gromov and Chartie Fold to Third Barrel

Level 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

Over on Table 2, Mike "Timex" McDonald, Shawn Buchanan, and Dmitry Gromov saw a flop of {k-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{a-Clubs}. The action checked to Buchanan on the button, and he fired 1,100. Only Gromov called. The turn was the {10-Clubs}, and Gromov checked again. Buchanan bet 2,500, and Gromov called.

The {7-Clubs} completed the board, and Gromov checked a third time. Buchanan tossed out 6,800, but this time Gromov folded.

At an adjacent table, Sam Chartier was heads up with Bryn Kenney, and the board read {9-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. Chartier called a 1,400-chip bet from Kenney, and the turn brought the {2-Hearts}. Chartier check-called another 3,600, and checked a third time when the {6-Clubs} completed the board. Kenney fired 5,400, and Chartier released.

Jetten Super-Tank-Calls

We reached the table on the river, and the board read {7-Spades}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Jason Mercier checked, and Peter Jetten went deep into the tank before betting 8,000. Mercier check-raised to a hefty 27,600, and Jetten went into the tank.

For a very, very, very long time.

Over five minutes after Mercier's check-raise, Jetten made the call. "Two pair," Mercier said.

Jetten turned over {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a flush, and raked in the pot.

"I thought you were gonna check-raise," Jetten said after the hand. He went on to explain that he was second-guessing himself, and that's why it took so long for him to call.

Mercier was set to be the big blind the next hand, but he was moved to another table to balance the field.
