Robl Earns a Pot

Level 18 : 0/0, 50,000 ante

Cary Katz limped in with {a-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Isaac Haxton followed suit with {a-Spades}{9-Spades}. Andrew Robl joined the party with {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and Ryan Tosoc checked his option on the button with {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}.

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and the action checked to Robl who bet 125,000 with his top pair. Tosoc quickly let his hand go and Katz and Haxton did the same with their smaller pairs.

Hawkins Doubles Through Tosoc

Level 18 : 0/0, 50,000 ante

The action was limped around to Maurice Hawkins who raised it up to 800,000 with {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}. Ryan Tosoc was the only player to call with {10-Spades}{9-Spades} as the dealer spread the flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Tosoc announced all in with two pair and Hawkins stuck in his last 860,000 chips with his pocket aces.

Hawkins would need some help in order to stay alive and that form of help came in the {6-Clubs} turn card. Hawkins improved to a better two pair and the {7-Spades} on the river would change nothing.

Robl Bluffing in the Wrong Spot

Level 18 : 0/0, 50,000 ante

Maurice Hawkins limped in with {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Isaac Haxton came along with {j-}{8-}. Andrew Robl was on the button and raised it up to 425,000 with {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Hawkins snap-called with his pocket queens and Haxton got out of the way.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and both players checked to the {6-Spades} on the turn and the {a-Hearts} on the river. Hawkins quickly checked one more time and Robl slid in a bet of 900,000. Hawkins check-raised to 2,000,000 with his set of queens and Robl instantly gave up his hand.

Cary Katz Eliminated in 5th Place ($44,000)

Level 18 : 0/0, 50,000 ante
Cary Katz
Cary Katz

Cary Katz limped in with {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and Isaac Haxton was next to act on his left. Haxton shoved all in with {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and the action folded back to Katz who called for his last 845,000.

The flop came {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} giving Katz the best hand with a pair of queens. However, the {a-Hearts} on the turn gave Haxton a pair of aces, putting Katz on the ropes. The river brought the {10-Spades} and Katz was unable to improve, heading home in fifth place.

Back-To-Back Doubles for Tosoc

Level 18 : 0/0, 50,000 ante

Ryan Tosoc quickly shot up the leaderboard after recent back-to-back double ups. He first got all of his chips in the middle with {a-}{10-} against Andrew Robl's {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. Tosoc spiked a ten on the turn and held on to double the first time.

In the next hand, Tosoc moved all in again for 2,010,000 with {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Isaac Haxton called with {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}. The flop came {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Haxton was nearly drawing dead already. The {6-Hearts} on the turn sealed the deal and Tosoc scored another double up.

Hawkins Leaves Robl Short

Level 18 : 0/0, 50,000 ante

Maurice Hawkins and Andrew Robl went heads-up to a flop of {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Hawkins checked with {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Robl tossed in a bet with {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Hawkins called and nailed the straight on the {6-Hearts} turn card.

He checked again and Robl checked back this time. The river was the {a-Hearts} and Hawkins checked one more time. With the ace playing as a five in short deck poker, Robl bet 900,000 with a nine-high straight. However, Hawkins held the nuts and raised to 2,400,000. Robl thought for a minute and eventually made the call, leaving himself on the short stack.

Robl Doubles Again

Level 19 : 0/0, 60,000 ante

All four players limped in and the flop came {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Isaac Haxton led out for 100,000 and Andrew Robl shoved all in for his last 280,000. The action was back on Haxton who reluctantly made the call. "I've got a pretty bad hand," he said.

Haxton tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and would need some help against the {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} of Robl. The turn brought the {7-Diamonds} which left Haxton drawing dead to the river.

Andrew Robl Eliminated in 4th Place ($55,000)

Level 19 : 0/0, 60,000 ante
Andrew Robl
Andrew Robl

Andrew Robl was still left with under 1,000,000 chips and he pushed all in holding {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Ryan Tosoc also shipped all in over the top with {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} and the two players tabled their cards with the action complete.

The flop fell {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{10-Hearts} giving Tosoc trip queens. Robl was drawing extremely slim and the {j-Diamonds} on the turn ended things. Tosoc improved to a full house and Robl was eliminated in fourth place.
