"MarcZumoff" Eliminated in 4th Place ($7,008)

Blinds: 80,000/160,000

From the button, chip leader Michael "fubadbeatbob" McNicholas raised to 344,000. "MarcZumoff" moved all in for just over 2,400,000, and McNicholas would call showing {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. They were leading the {k-Spades}{10-Spades} of "MarcZumoff", and they would shoot out to the lead on the flop of {10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}.

That flop also gave McNicholas the nut flush draw, but they wouldn't need it, as an ace came on both the turn and the river to give McNicholas trip aces.

With that, just three players remain!

"Schwibbs1" Eliminated in 3rd Place ($9,690)

Blinds: 100,000/200,000

Big stack Michael "fubadbeatbob" McNicholas raised to 430,000, and "Schwibbs1" was the lone caller. They went heads up to a flop of {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, and "Schwibbs1" checked to the raiser, who continued for 340,500.

"Schwibbs1" went for a check raise to 1,100,000, and McNicholas called to see the {10-Hearts} hit the turn. "Schwibbs1" moved all in for 2,750,000, and McNicholas beat them into the pot with {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. "Schwibbs1" needed another club to come with {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, but the {8-Spades} came on the river instead.

With that, play is heads up, with McNicholas maintaining his big chip lead.

"ecerille" Doubles Into the Chip Lead

Blinds: 100,000/200,000

"ecerille" raised to 440,000, and Michael "fubadbeatbob" McNicholas, reraised to 1,600,000. "ecerille" called to see the flop come down {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}, and McNicholas checked to "ecerille", who bet out 1,625,000. McNicholas went for the big check raise all in, and "ecerille" made the call with the nut flush draw, {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

They were trailing the pocket queens of McNicholas, but the hand was over after the {7-Diamonds} on the turn gave"ecerille" an unbeatable flush. Just like that, the chip lead has switched hands.

McNicholas Takes the Lead Back

Blinds: 100,000/200,000

"ecerille" limped in, and Michael "fubadbeatbob" McNicholas bumped it up to a million even. "ecerille" called, and the flop came down {j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. McNicholas check called a bet of 1,025,000, and the {8-Diamonds} hit the turn. After another check, "ecerille" bet again, 2,050,000, and McNicholas tagged along to see the {a-Clubs} complete the board.

A third check from McNicholas saw a third bet from "ecerille", 4,100,000, but this time, McNicholas would shove for a total of 9,357,732. "ecerille" was forced to fold, and one of the biggest pot of the final table was sent to McNicholas without a showdown.

"ecerille" Eliminated in 2nd Place ($13,399)

Blinds: 125,000/250,000

Michael "fubadbeatbob" McNicholas limped in on what would end up being the final hand of the night, and "ecerille" moved all in for 5,618,518. McNicholas called with {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, and "ecerille" was slightly ahead with {a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. However, that all changed after the {k-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop gave McNicholas middle pair.

The {q-Spades} turn meant a seven and a seven only would change the outcome, and the river was close, but it was the {8-Hearts}. "ecerille" will have to settle for $13,399, while McNicholas completes a dominating final table performacne, earning $18,529, and the PACOOP title.

Stay tuned for a full recap to be posted shortly.

It's been a good week for Michael "fubadbeatbob" McNicholas at the 2021 PACOOP. On Wednesday, McNicholas finished third in the $250 Six-Max Championships, earning $6,046 for his efforts. On Sunday, he upped that by two spots, taking home his second PACOOP title in Event #38: $200 NLHE Sunday Special SE, $100K Gtd, along with $18,529 in prize money.

Today's Action

Jennifer Shahade was an early chip leader in this event, and she would end up making the money, ultimately bowing out in 28th place just before the final three tables. Other notables who made the money tonight, but missed the final table, included Matt "Thewhitesmith" McNeil (43rd) and Barrett "AndrewYang2020" Lipkin (13th).

McNicholas started the final table as one of the bigger stacks, but he would quickly take a massive lead over the field after this hand, where a flush was dealt on the board. McNicholas had slowplayed the {a-Hearts} until the river, where he got a huge bet paid off.

Not long after that, McNicholas would knock out start of final table chip leader "StarChaser420", in a roller coaster hand that saw the lead switch multiple times by the river.

McNicholas would take a bit of a break from the action before he scored another knockout, busting "JonCaron215" in fifth place. McNicholas had to come from behind in this hand, getting it in with a weak ace, but making a straight by the river to better his opponent's ace-queen.

McNicholas wouldn't take his foot off the gas from there, raising virtually every pot, and knocking out his final three opponents in quick succession. McNicholas played the final table like a seasoned veteran, though he appears to be fairly new onto the poker scene, with just over $75,000 in live earnings. A majority of that came in a 12th place finish at the WPT Main Event at the Venetian in March. However, McNicholas did have the experience of the aforementioned previous PACOOP final table to work on, and that surely came into handy tonight.

Don't forget that there are more big final tables coming your way here at PokerNews, and you can view the remaining PACOOP schedule below. The action will pick back up again on Thursday, September 23rd, at 7 PM ET, so be sure to come back here then for all of your updates. Until then, good night everyone!
