$85 6-Max Turbo
Day 1 Started
One event is rolling toward a final table, but there's another event on tap here at Run It Up Reno for those unfortunate enough to go bust in the bounty event. It's time for the $85 Six-Max Turbo, and players are already taking their seats with cards set to begin flying in moments.
Expect a fast pace in this one, as the structure calls for 15-minute levels, which kick up to 20 minutes when a final table is reached. Players start with 10,000 in their stacks and blinds at 50/100, so stacks could easily be at risk in the early going, especially with the six-max format. Reentries are allowed through the first 12 levels.
The tournament is nearly underway, but and we'll bring some updates every now and then, but the majority of coverage will be on the bounty for the time being.
Among the players sitting in early: PokerNews Editor-in-Chief Donnie Peters, as well as prelim event winners Thomas Dominguez, who took down last night's pot-limit Omaha event, and "Boston" Rob Mariano, who won the All In or Fold event.

Randy "nanonoko" Lew moved all in for his last 4,125 on the button.
"This is a reentry, right?" Garry Gates said as he thought about his decision. He opted to call in the small blind. The big blind folded.

Lew took the lead as a flop hit the felt but that changed in a big way after the turn left him drawing dead. Gates collected Lew's stack, getting a small measure of revenge after Lew's PokerStars Team Online teammate Kevin Martin busted Gates in the bounty.

"Boston" Rob Mariano already won one event — the $85 All In or Fold — here at Run It Up Reno, and he's a major threat to take another. He is undoubtedly the chip leaders at this point after raking in a huge pot and busting two opponents.
The flop had come with one player already all in. Mariano fired 20,000, and his opponent in the cutoff moved all in for about 19,000 more. Mariano called.

Third player:
"Are you serious, you have aces!?" the shortest-stacked player exclaimed. Indeed, Mariano held the bullets and they held strong on the turn and river.
