Capps Can't Lose

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Jesse Capps
Jesse Capps

Jesse Capps raised to 2,700 from middle position and the player in the hijack flatted. The player on the button then moved all in for 41,100, both blinds folded, and Capps called. The hijack got out of the way and the hands were turned up.

Capps: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Button: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The {j-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop gave Capps a freeroll to running spades, but the {6-Clubs} turn took away any chance of that happening. The meaningless {q-Diamonds} was run out on the river and then the pot was chopped up.

While he didn't win that pot, Capps has been on a heater and is closing in on the first player to reach the 200K mark.

"I'll Gamble with You"

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Action folded around LFG Podcast co-host Jamie Kerstetter in the small blind and she limped. Joel Danforth was in the big and checked his option to see a {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop.

Kerstetter checked, Danforth bet 2,200, and Kerstetter called to see the {9-Spades} on the turn. Again she checked and Danforth bet 4,100. Kerstetter woke up with an all-in check-raise to 19,600 and action was back on Danforth.

"I'll gamble with you," he said before calling and tabling an open-ended straight draw.

Kerstetter: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Danforth: {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

Kerstetter was ahead with top two pair and she improved to a full house on the {j-Hearts} river. LFG!

"I Don't Think You're Going to Bust Me"

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Patrick Tardif
Patrick Tardif

In the first hand back from the dinner break, partypoker pro and Twitch streamer Patrick Tardif moved all in for 8,000 from the cutoff and action folded to the player in the big blind. He didn't seem too excited about it but made the call nonetheless.

Tardif: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Big Blind: {10-Spades}{6-Hearts}

"I don't think you're going to bust me this hand," Tardif said with the confidence of a Matthew McConaughey behind the wheel of a Lincoln Nautilus.

He called it as the board ran out {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} to give him the double.

"Alright. Alright. Alright."

Pokrivnak Sends Van Patten to the Rail

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Donald Van Patten
Donald Van Patten

Andy Pokrivnak opened for 4,500 from early position and the raise cleared the field all the way around to Donald Van Patten in the big blind. He moved all in for just shy of 30,000 and Pokrivnak, who has chips to spare, opted to make the call.

Pokrivnak: {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Van Patten: {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

The {j-Spades}{q-Spades}{5-Diamonds} paired Pokrivnak but it also gave Van Patten an up-and-down straight draw. Unfortunately for him he missed when the {8-Diamonds} bricked the turn followed by the {5-Hearts} on the river.

Van Patten told the table what a pleasure it was to play with them today, but don't worry, he'll be back for at least the Main Event as he's already won his way in via a satellite.

Owen Busts His Buddy Brindle

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Adam Owen raised to 4,500 from early position and the player in the cutoff called from the cutoff. Joe Brindle, a friend of Owen's, then moved all in for 33,500. Owen jammed over the top and the cutoff got out of the way.

Brindle: {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Owen: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Owen was way out in front and he held as the board ran out a lowly {10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.
