The $50,000 Guaranteed event is underway here in the Seneca Poker Room. About 30 players have taken their seats for the first riffle of the day, and we're expecting dozens more for Flight A before registration closes at the end of Level 8.
PokerNews' coverage of the 2014 Summer Slam continues this morning with a brand new event on the schedule. Event #5 is a $125 buy-in no-limit hold'em tournament that will take four days to complete. That means for the first time since Friday Joe Ciffa will not win a Summer Slam tournament inside the Seneca Poker Room.
Event #5 will feature six separate starting flights across three days (July 28-30). Players may enter into more than one flight, and any player that finishes more than one flight will take their largest finishing stack forward to Day 2 on July 31.
Flight A will begin today at 11 a.m. ET and Flight B will follow at 6 p.m. ET. The plan is to play 12 30-minute levels or until only 12% of the field in each flight remains. Each player begins with 15,000 in chips and registration and re-entries will be open until the start of Level 9.
We'll be providing complete coverage of each starting flight, so stay tuned right here at PokerNews.com!
