Welcome back to our coverage of the 2014 Seneca Niagara Summer Slam Main Event! The $600 flagship tournament features a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool, and after 130 entries hit the field on Friday the guarantee should easily be surpassed on Saturday's second flight.

The Main Event is a two-day tournament with registration and unlimited re-entries available for the first 10 levels on Day 1. Players will begin with 20,000 in chips with the blinds starting at 25/50 and levels lasting 40 minutes. The action will end tonight with 20 minutes left in Level 15 — the same time play ended on Day 1a when the field was whittled down to the final 12%.

2012 Summer Slam Main Event champ Alex Rivera bagged the biggest stack (379,000) last night after surging late in the day. Also among the 16 who advanced to Sunday's Day 2 were Ray Book, Budwey Salhab, Matt Parry and Glenn Pawlowski.

Day 1b kicks off at 11 a.m. and we will be here providing all of the latest from the tournament floor. Be sure to stay tuned as this exciting event begins!
