Ortiz Sunk; Three Tables Remain

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Louis Ortiz
Louis Ortiz

Scott Aitchison shoved over the top of a Rick Block open and a suddenly short Luis Ortiz called all in for less.

Block tank-folded and Aitchison was way ahead with the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} against Ortiz' {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

Aitchison took the small pot down on an {8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} run out and with Ortiz out, just 30 remained, allowing the tournament staff to conduct a redraw for seats at the final three tables.

Gras Leads!

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Chris Gras
Chris Gras

Chris Gras' incredible comeback story continues here, as he's now moved to the top of the counts.

After Scott Aitchison opened to 24,000 under the gun and got two callers, including Gras, Brian Bowen ripped it in for his last 16 big blinds from the big blind.

Only Gras called with two nines and was miles behind Bowen's two kings. Gras simply turned a nine and stacked the chips, sending Bowen to the rail and rising to the top of the leader board.

Add A Little Spice

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Todd Saffron
Todd Saffron

Todd Saffron moved into the chip lead late last night during the final Day 1 flight, but could not hold onto it.

He came into the day in the upper half of the counts, around the average stack, but has found a way to chip up exponentially now.

One of his biggest hands came when he flopped top-top with {a-}{q-} against an Alex Rivera baby flush draw and they got it in. The result was Rivera on the rail and Saffron on 560,000 now.

Bourne Identified; Aitchison Out

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Scott Aitchison
Scott Aitchison

Brad Bourne made it 25,000 and after Michael Davis called, Scott Aitchison defended his big blind.

Aitchison checked the {j-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop and Bourne led for 40,000. Davis called before Aitchison check-raised all in for around 100,000 more. Bourne put more than twice that all in and Davis relented.

Aitchison: {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Bourne: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Bourne was leading, but Aitchison certainly had outs. Unfortunately for him, the {3-Spades} turn and the {6-Hearts} river were bricks, sending Bourne up the leader board and Aitchison to the rail.

Reyes Up; Wiles Wilted

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
David Wiles
David Wiles

Chris Gras opened the button and Kevin Reyes made it 60,000 from the small blind. David Wiles defended his big blind and Gras tossed his hand away.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and Reyes continued for 85,000. Wiles ripped it in for over 300,000 and Reyes called it off with the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}, having flopped top set.

Wiles had little hope with the {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, and although he picked up some on the {4-Clubs} turn, the {q-Diamonds} river ensured Reyes would double huge and Wiles would be left crippled.

[Removed:340] Cracks Klis' Kings To Take The Lead

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Erik Klis
Erik Klis

Erik Klis and Joseph [Removed:340] just got it all in preflop in a one-million-chip pot with Klis holding the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} and [Removed:340] on {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

It was a massive cooler, but things flipped upside down when the board rolled out {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} giving [Removed:340] a set.

[Removed:340] had Klis barely covered and as he jumped into the lead, Klis left with a bad beat story and a 20th-place finish.
