Cameron Back to Starting Stack

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante

The day was not going well for Kyle Cameron prior to this hand as he was sitting with just under half of the initial starting stack. The flop was showing {10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts} when Cameron moved all in over the top of a bet from Andrew Fitting.

Fitting made the call and the players turned over their hands with Cameron at risk of elimination. Fitting tabled {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for a flopped set, Cameron turned over {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for a flush and straight draw.

The turn was of no help to Cameron when a {8-Diamonds} hit the felt, but when the dealer flipped over the river it was a different story as a {a-Hearts} smacked the board, giving Cameron the flush and a full double up through Fitting.

Droege Continues to Climb Through Olshan

Level 6 : 200/400, 400 ante
Maximilian Droege
Maximilian Droege

David Olshan limped the small blind and was quickly raised by Maximilian Droege to 1,500 in the big blind. Olshan made the call and the dealer flipped over a flop of {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}.

Olshan check-called a bet of 2,000 from Droege. The turn came the {j-Clubs}, both players checked and the river paired the board as the {j-Diamonds} hit the table.

Action checked to Droege who fired in 5,500 and after quite some time Olshan made the call. Droege tabled {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for two pair, Olshan mucked and Droege scooped in the pot.

Guarantee has been Reached

Level 7 : 250/500, 500 ante

The $200,000 guarantee has been met as the final flight keeps pulling in entries of players trying to grab a seat into Day 2. The lack of attendance in the first two flights has been more than made up for as Day 1c now has 132 entries just halfway through level seven.

The late registration and re-entry period is still open until the beginning of level 11 and Day 1c shows no signs of slowing down as the prize pool continues to grow.
