Welcome to Day 1b of Mid-States Poker Tour Canterbury Park
We're set to kick off the second heat of Mid-States Poker Tour Canterbury Park right here in Shakopee, Minn. David Abramowicz bagged the Day 1a chip lead with just south of 260,000. Cards will be in the air at 4 p.m. local time.
Notable names failing to bag stacks on Day 1a included Matt Kirby, Matt Alexander, Aaron Johnson, Lance Harris, Terry Ring, Jeremy Dresch, Patrick Steele, and MSPT Ho-Chunk champion Jason Sell. We expect to see all of those players take another crack at the prize pool here on Day 1b, especially considering how juicy that pool looks with a record Day 1a field of over 200 players entering yesterday.
We'll play 14 40-minute levels today, starting at 50/100, with each player wielding 20,000 in chips to start. Breaks will be given every three levels, and one reentry will be allowed for each player per starting day.
