Welcome to Day 1b of Mid-States Poker Tour Golden Gates
After tour pro Blake Bohn rampaged through Day 1a to the tune of a 511,500 bag up at the end of the night, Day 1b is set to kick off at noon local time here in Black Hawk, Colo., when we will see if anyone can match this lofty feat. A total of 126 runners fired it up on the opening flight, and with a more easily accessible day for most people's jobs, we may see a slightly larger field today.
Some of the players who bought in but failed to make it through included Chris Tryba, Mike Ross, Allen Kessler, Brady Bullard, Josh Reichard, John Holley, and Ben Keeline, so they will more than likely be in attendance.
Starting stacks will be 30,000 instead of the usual 20,000. Other than that, the normal Allen Kessler-approved blind structure will be in place, with 40-minute levels starting at 50/100. Fifteen levels are scheduled today, and players may reenter as many times as they wish.
