Day 1b Started
Yesterday, 154 entrants made up the Day 1a flight with 29 players making it through to Day 2. Today's flight will begin at noon local time. Today's field will also play 14 40-minute levels and bag up around 10 p.m. local time.
The MSPT FireKeepers event in May drew 614 runners, so a big crowd is expected today. A lot of the players seem to want to qualify before Saturday, in order to watch the Michigan vs. Michigan State football game. Tomorrow's flight will also start at noon and the three flights will combine Sunday at 11 a.m.
Today's players will be chasing Mike Ross (311,500) and Bill Rogers (287,000), and with a big crowd expected today, it is likely that the chip leader from today's flight will enter Day 2 with more chips than that. Stay tuned for updates and chip counts throughout the day.
