Ramos Streaking Early

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

Four players saw a {j-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop and an early player bet 2,300. One player folded, Jason Ramos called in the cutoff, and the small blind folded. On the {5-Clubs} turn, Ramos bet 5,500 when checked to, and that earned him the pot.

He's up past three starting stacks here in the early going.

One Wisconsinite Busts, Another Survives

Eddie Blumenthal
Eddie Blumenthal

Chad Holloway was all in for his last 5,500 or so and up against two players who had built a side pot preflop already. The flop came {5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and there was a bet of 8,000 and a call before the {9-Clubs} and {3-Hearts} went check-check.

One player showed {q-Spades}{j-Spades} to win the whole pot, as Holloway had {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and the third player {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

At a neighboring table, Eddie Blumenthal checked in the small blind on {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} from the small blind, the big blind checked, and the button bet 500. Only Blumenthal called, bringing a {3-Diamonds}. Blumenthal checked, the player on the button bet 1,500, and Blumenthal shoved for 7,600.

That earned him the pot right away.

Ormson Turns One Dead

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Larry Ormson
Larry Ormson

On a flop of {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, Eddie Blumenthal had 3,500 in front of him under the gun. A short-stacked player was all in from a few seats over, but Larry Ormson had made it 10,500 in the small blind. Blumenthal tank-folded what he later claimed to be aces.

Ormson: {8-Spades}{7-Spades}
Opponent: {q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

The all-in player called it the five big blind dream, but Ormson turned the {8-Diamonds} to make a full house and ensure the dream was dead.
