Philachack's First Bullet Gone

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Andy Philachack jokingly said he was on the first of many bullets today. Shortly after, as he had just busted, he said he flopped a gut shot with the nut flush draw. He held {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and the flop came {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-}. The turn was {k-}, and gave him a pair to go with his big draws. The {q-} on the river gave him two pair, but also gave his opponent a straight and a double knockout. It is likely that Philachack will reenter shortly.

Vasudevan's Bluff Wins Two Hands

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Sandeep Vasudevan looked at a board of {2-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and shoved all in for 25,825. There was already roughly 28,000 in the pot. His opponent took a while before folding and showing a {10-Diamonds}. Vasudevan confirmed that the player had folded before turning over his hand to show a bluff of king high.

The two players were heads up in three of the next five hands. During the latest one, Vasudaven raised on the button to 600 and the same opponent called from the big blind. The board came out {j-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Spades} and the big blind checked. Vasudaven bet 600 on the flop, his opponent called. The {6-Clubs} came on the turn, and it was another check to Vasudaven and a call from his opponent for 1,500. Both players checked the river {3-Spades} and Vasudaven showed {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and his opponent mucked.

Prop Bets with Layne Flack

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

In light of all of the prop bets John Juanda has been involved in lately, Allen Kessler, Layne Flack, and a few others have started discussing the physical prowess of Flack.

"How many pull-ups do you think you could do?" yelled Kessler over to Flack, as the two are seated one table apart from each other.

"Right now?" asked Flack, looking to the ceiling and thinking about it for a few seconds. "Maybe 15."

"I'll take the under!" shouted someone from Kessler's table.

After a bit of back and forth, Kessler turned to our reporter and asked how many he thought Flack could do.

"Does he get six months to train like Juanda?" we asked.

"No, right now," responded Kessler.

"I don't know, I might take the over depending on how much is riding on it," we said. "[Flack] might have some sneaky strength."

"You hear that, Layne?" said Kessler. "He said he'd take the over."

"No way, I couldn't do 15," said Flack. "I said I could probably do 12 right now."

Then, Flack played a hand and then hopped out of his seat to head over to Kessler's table to tell a story of a different prop bet. This one involved Nenad Medic when he and Flack were over in Cyprus together.

"You want to hear about a prop bet, listen to this," Flack said. "I was over in Cyprus with Nenad Medic — you know Nenad, right? We were betting on red or black flops. If your color hit, the other guy had to jump down and do 10 push-ups right there. If you scooped, then the other guy had to do 20 — on every flop! By the dinner break we were up to like 300 push-ups each. By that time, I started pleading, 'Please, please, please be black!' on each flop."

Fuhs Knocked Down

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

On the {Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, Danny Fuhs had 12,000 in from of him and was facing an all-in raise from an opponent. Eventually, Fuhs made the call with the {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a flush draw. His opponent had the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

"I figured you had a hand like that," said Fuhs. "I had too much in there already. I had to take the shot."

The turn was the {K-Spades}, and the river was the {4-Diamonds}. Fuhs missed and was clipped all the way down to 3,000 in chips.
