Banghart Picks Up a Multi-Way Pot

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 2,000 ante

Mike Rogers raised it up from middle position and found callers in Men Nguyen, Jeff Banghart and Wendy Freedman in the big blind. The flop fell {9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Freedman checked to Rogers who continued for 40,000. Nobody clicked the fold button as all four players continued to the {8-Spades} on the turn.

Freedman checked again and Rogers also checked with four cards to a straight on the board. Nguyen tapped the table and Banghart announced all in, having all of his opponents covered. Freedman quickly folded and both Rogers and Nguyen soon followed suit. Banghart flashed the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} as the pot was shipped his way.

Eskandar Coming Back

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 2,000 ante

Patrick Eskandar was down to 38,000 and stuffed it in from the small blind, with Lou Garza calling in the big despite holding {3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Eskandar had just {j-Diamonds}{6-Spades} himself but it was enough to double as the board ran out {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}. Eskandar then found another dub on a subsequent hand to move past 200,000.

Battle of the Blinds Goes to Elpayaa

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

The action folded around to the small blind who limped in and Joe Elpayaa checked his option. The flop fell {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and the small blind check-called a bet of 15,000 from Elpayaa.

The {a-Spades} landed on the turn and the small blind led out for 25,000. Elpayaa called and the {6-Clubs} completed the board. The small blind fired another 40,000 only to have Elpayaa announce all in. The small blind quickly sent his cards to the muck, leaving himself with roughly 140,000 remaining.

Simpson Calls Correctly

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Salvador Cervantes opened to 25,000 from under the gun and picked up three callers along the way. The flop came {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} and Alex Greenblatt checked from the big blind. Cervantes continued for 47,000 and Michael Simpson called along with the cutoff. Greenblatt folded as the {j-Clubs} hit the turn.

The action checked around to the {5-Hearts} on the river where Cervantes shipped all in. Simpson went into the tank for a couple of minutes before calling off his last 185,000. The cutoff folded and the two hands were tabled. Cervantes showed {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} but Simpson flopped a pair of tens with {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and scored a double up.

Eskandar and Lewis Double Through Elpayaa

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

The action folded to Joe Elpayaa on the button who raised to 30,000. Patrick Eskandar shipped all in for 140,000 in the small blind and Elpayaa quickly called. Elpayaa tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and Eskandar held two live cards with {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Eskandar doubled up with two pair.

In the next hand, Austin Lewis opened to 30,000 and Elpayaa three-bet to 100,000. The action was back on Lewis who instantly shoved all in for 250,000. Elpayaa asked for a rough count and then made the call.

Lewis was in a dominating position with {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} against the {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} of Elpayaa. Both players flopped a pair on the {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop but Lewis remained in the lead. The {4-Spades} on the turn and the {5-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing as Lewis also doubled through Elpayaa.
