The Canadian Poker Championships With $2 Million Guaranteed Starts Today!
Live Day 1a of the Canadian Poker Championships with $2,000,000 Guaranteed begins today at Noon local time at the ever-popular Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Quebec, Canada. This is the first of four live Day 1 starting flights over the next four days.
The online Day 1 was held on Sunday, September 3rd and 27 players advanced to Day 2. The chip leader was Maurizio Lo Russo with 4,882,000 chips, and Canada's own Mike Leah bagged the second-biggest stack with 3,618,000.
Today's flight will have players starting with a whopping 1,000,000 chips where they will play nine, 60-minute levels before bagging and tagging for Day 2.
There will be a 45-minute dinner break following Level 6 and there will be a 15-minute break every two levels throughout the day. Registration remains open until the end of Level 12 on Day 2, and players are permitted to re-enter once per flight as well as once on Day 2 should they fail to bag.
Day 1d on Monday, September 11th at Noon features a turbo structure with 20-minute levels and will complete in about three hours and ten minutes. Day 2 will pick up that same day at 5:00 p.m. and will play eight levels.
