Minus a Hundo

The scoreboard shows 316 players remaining, meaning we have lost a full 100 runners. Four and a half levels into the day, just about 3/4 of the field still has chips to work with.

Annette Obrestad Doubles Up Through Huck Seed

Annette Obrestad

The under-the-gun player made it 1,000 to go. It was folded to Annette Obrestad in the hijack and she went all in for 5,250. Huck Seed re-raised all in from the big blind and isolated the action.

"Please have ace-king", said Obrestad.

Seed indeed tabled {A-Spades}{K-Clubs} and Annette was happy to be racing with {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. The board ran out {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Obrestad has more than doubled up to about 12,000. Seed slides down to 17,000.

Sorrow For Sorrel

With the board reading {A-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {4-Spades}, Sorrel Mizzi was facing a 5,000 bet from the player to his left. He relunctantly folded and got shown the {8-Spades} for his troubles with the {8-Clubs} soon appearing afterwards...

Mizzi is on about 12,000.

Mattern Adds To Stack

Arnaud Mattern is up to 35,000 after eliminating a short stack while holding {A-?} {10-?} to his opponent's {A-?} {K-?}. Dominated though he was, a flop of {A-?} {10-?} {10-?} later meant it was all over for the shorty who couldn't manage to catch running Kings.

Mizzi Gets Some Run-Good

Sorel Mizzi

With a raise in front of him, Sorel Mizzi moved all in for 6,975 total. The raiser made the call with pocket jacks, and Mizzi was racing for his tournament life with {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}.

He would hit the flop. It came {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {7-Hearts}, and Mizzi took the lead in a hurry. The {2-Hearts} on the turn was safe, as was the river {8-Clubs}, and that spells a double up for the pro. He's back close to 15,000 now and has a vague smirk on his face.

Antonio Esfandiari Doubles Up

With about 4,500 in the pot, Antonio Esfandiari bet 3,000 on a {2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts} board. His lone opponent called and when the {3-Clubs} landed on the river, Esfandiari went all in for 7,850.

After a short tank, his opponent called with {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Esfandiari tabled {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a straight and is up to 28,000.

Bogdan Not Bogged Down

Bogdan Ionescu is amongst our chip leaders after he knocked out an opponent when the Romanian held {10-Clubs} {10-Spades} on a {Q-Spades} {J-Spades} {10-Diamonds} flop against {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and the river the {5-Clubs} and Ionescu has over 60,000 now.

Squeezy Does It

Bruno Fitoussi raised to 850 preflop and he was immediately called by the player to his right as well as Bogdan Ionescu.

Next to them Ross Boatman moved all-in for 12,000 which quickly scared off the rest of the players pushing Boatman, who won the high roller event a few days ago, over 15,000.
