Old School Poker

Level 5 : 200/400, 75 ante

From what we have seen at the tables so far, Henrik Klinge Nielsen has been playing straight forward and avoided difficult spots. The most recent hand was no different when the Dane opened to 1,200 and received three callers. After a flop of {Q-Hearts} {J-Spades} {10-Diamonds}, Nielsen folded to a 3,400-bet of the player in the cutoff and that was a good decision, as he would have made up his mind about a check-raise all in for 15,075 by another opponent.

Sormainis' Strong Draw

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Joining the action on the {Q-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} turn with three players in the pot, Tamer Kamel faced a bet of 6,200 into a pot of 15,000. The Brit folded but Daniel Sormainis called to see the {K-Clubs} on the river. Both remaining players checked and the opponent of Sormainis showed {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts} for third pair. Sormainis had that beat and the whole table sighed when he tabled the winning {Q-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} for an open ended straight and royal flush draw on the flop.

Price Gets There on the River

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

"I think I got the best draw," Paul Price said after getting his last 5,900 chips in out of the small blind after a flop of {4-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {7-Hearts}. "But you don't have the best hand yet," an opponent replied as he was looked up by another player with {9-Clubs} {9-Spades}. While the {A-Hearts} turn was a blank, the {A-Clubs} river surely wasn't, giving Price the flush and double up.

He is at a table with Alexander Jager and almost even in chips with the German now.

Sormainis Strikes Again

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Daniel Sormainis had only just found his seat on the new table and stacked more chips after knocking out a table neighbor. His opponent opened to 1,500 from under the gun and Sormainis three-bet to 4,500 from one seat over. The opponent jammed for 16,000 with pocket queens and raced against {A-} {K-} to see Sormainis spike a king on the river.

Campbell Doubles

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Arriving on a flop of {Q-Spades} {2-Clubs} {10-Clubs}, Leon Campbell was at risk for his last 16,225 after a raising war from the button. His opponent was sitting in the cutoff and had Campbell covered, flipping over the {J-Clubs} {8-Clubs} for a gutshot and flush draw. Campbell's {Q-Clubs} {10-Hearts} for top two pair held up with the {6-Spades} turn and {J-Diamonds} river.

Jager's Check Raise Gets Through

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

On a flop of {3-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} with four players in and roughly 9,000 chips in the middle, Alexander Jager check-raised all in for 18,050. Two opponents had committed 3,500 but weren't willing to call the shove of the German. The big stack on the table is online qualifier Martin Kollmann with almost six digits.

Peleckas Cracks Aces

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

On a flop {4-Spades} {3-Clubs} {5-Clubs}, a short stack bet 6,000 and Deividas Peleckas moved all in for what appeared to be 38,000. His opponent called with {A-Clubs} {A-Spades} but already looked away from the table. Peleckas had the {6-Spades} {6-Clubs} and would make the higher straight thanks to the {2-Diamonds} on the turn. Only a six would have saved the short-stacked player, yet the {Q-Spades} river gave the pot to Peleckas.
