Poche Rivers Straight

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

La Sengphet made it 26,000 to go and found a caller in Jonathan Poche from the big blind.

The {9-Hearts}{10-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} board was checked to the river where Poche pushed out a bet of 32,000. Sengphet made the call but mucked after seeing Poche table his {Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a rivered straight.

Jonathan Poche Eliminated in 5th Place ($75,000)

Level 19 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Jonathan Poche - 6th Place
Jonathan Poche - 6th Place

On the flop of {K-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, Jonathan Poche was all in and called by Sam Barnhart. Poche held the {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, but was dominated by the {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for Barnhart.

The turn brought the {3-Spades} to pair the board, but Barnhart's queen was still the better kicker. The river completed the board with the {J-Hearts} and Poche was eliminated from the tournament. He finished in fifth place for $75,000 while the remaining four players went off on dinner break.

When covering final tables that are being filmed for television purposes, it is always about pleasing the television crew and their desire to produce a top-rate show.

The cons of this however is that the people on the rail and the media covering the event find it very hard to see and hear all the action.

We at PokerNews always strive to provide the best live reporting in the business, but it is on occasions like this where we will struggle immensely and have to report hands like the following.

Facing a preflop raise, La Sengphet made the call from the blinds before the {Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board was checked down. "Pair!" announced Sengphet as her opponent mucked gifting the pot to one-time chip leader.

Tens for Barnhart

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Sam Barnhart opened with a raise from under the gun to 44,000. La Sengphet called from the big blind and the flop came down paired with the {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{J-Spades} hitting the felt. Both players checked and the turn brought the {4-Spades}. Both checked again.

The river card was the {6-Diamonds} and once again, both players checked. Barnhart tabled two tens and Sengphet mucked.

From the button, James Anderson raised to 35,000. La Sengphet defended her big blind with a call and the flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}. Sengphet checked to the preflop aggressor and Anderson bet 39,000. Sengphet check-raised all in and Anderson quickly called, having her covered.

Anderson: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Sengphet: {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}

The turn brought the {Q-Hearts}, which gave Anderson trip queens and left Sengphet drawing stone dead. The river completed the board with the {10-Diamonds}.

Sengphet finished off a great 2010-2011 WSOP Circuit with a fourth-place finish here in the $1,000,000 National Championship for $100,000. This is her first six-figure score after having won two rings earlier this season.
