Nick Mitchell Eliminated in 8th Place ($40,538)

Level 24 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Nick Mitchell - 8th place
Nick Mitchell - 8th place

Nick Mitchell raised under the gun and the lone caller was Micah Raskin from the small blind.

The flop came down {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and Raskin led out 50,000. Mitchell called, leading to the {3-Spades} turn card. Raskin bet 100,000 and Mitchell called again, landing the {J-Hearts} on the river. Raskin checked and Mitchell went all in for about 170,000, surprised to hear Raskin immediately call.

Mitchell turned over {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}, but his rivered pair was second best to Raskin’s {10-Spades}{2-Spades}.

Mitchell is our eighth-place finisher, while Raskin is now the chip leader with about 1,300,000.
