A Change of Pace

Another media outlet has just joined the fight here in Hammond, so we've got some tableside company now. As per WSOP rules then, we are no longer permitted to offer live updates every few minutes. The stipulations dictate that we're allowed just one post per hour from here on out, so we'll be writing mini-recaps that include notable hands and fresh chip counts at the conclusion of each level.

Don't go wandering off on us, there's still plenty more poker to be watched and played.

Shepsky Finishes 10th to Set Final Table, Hayes Out in 9th, Cohen Out 8th

Matthew Shepsky - 10th place
Matthew Shepsky - 10th place

Souther Folds Flop to Shepsky - 5:21 PM

From early position, Will "Monkey" Souther raised to 150,000. Matthew Shepsky made the call from the button and the flop came down {Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. After the flop, Souther checked to his opponent. Shepsky fired 180,000 with about 550,000 behind. Souther folded and Shepsky picked up the pot to move over 900,000. Souther dropped back to 2.5 million.

Cohen Shoves - 5:23 PM

After William Reynolds raised from middle position to 110,000, Daniel Cohen reraised all in from the small blind. His all-in bet was worth 1.03 million and that was enough to get a fold from Reynolds.

Souther Forced to Fold River to Choi - 5:31 PM

From the cutoff seat, Will "Monkey" Souther raised to 125,000. Edwin Choi was in the next seat and flat-called while everyone else folded. The two players took the flop of {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and both checked.

The turn added the {6-Hearts} to the board and Souther was first to act. He reached into his stack and fired out 200,000. Choi made the call.

The river completed the board with the {A-Diamonds} and Souther though for a second before checking. Choi fired out 350,000 and Souther went into the tank. After a couple of minutes, Souther folded his hand and Choi won the pot. Neither player showed.

"What You Chewin'?" - 5:38 PM

Kurt Jewell just stepped away from the table to put a new hunk of tobacco in between his gums. When he came back, Bryan Devonshire was grinning at him.

"What you chewin', Kurt?"

"Grizzly," Jewell responded.

"What flavor?"

"Wintergreen."

"That's my backup," Devonshire said, digging through his pockets, after which he produced a tin of his own tobacco.

Souther's Easy Three-Bet - 5:43 PM

From middle position, William Reynolds opened to 115,000. Action passed around to the big blind where Will Souther announced, "I'm gonna raise." After just a minute of fumbling with his chips, Reynolds simply surrendered saying, "You win."

Bryan Devonshire was busy staring at Souther's enormous card capper. "You should get an excessive card protector penalty," he said as Souther stacked up.

Matthew Shepsky Eliminated in 10th Place ($18,598) - 5:47 PM

Matthew Shepsky opened to 115,000 from middle position, and he found action in one place as Edwin Choi came along from the big blind.

Heads up, the two men took a flop of {8-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {7-Hearts}, and Choi took the lead with a bet of 135,000. Shepsky had 730,000 chips left, and he made a raise to 330,000 straight. Choi called.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} and a check from Choi, and Shepsky moved all in for exactly 400,000. Choi snap-called, turning up {6-Clubs} {6-Hearts} for the straight. It was a bad turn for Shepsky, and he showed that his {7-Clubs} {7-Diamonds} was going to need the board to pair to stay alive.

River: {2-Hearts}. That fails to hit Shepsky, and he has been eliminated in 10th place as the final table bubble boy.

The final nine players have been granted a ten-minute break with 31 minutes left in the level.

The Final Table! - 6:00 PM

The last nine players are back in their seats, and the final table is underway. Here's the way the chip counts look right now:

Will Souther2,000,000

Casey Hayes Eliminated in 9th Place ($23,120) - 6:14 PM

Edwin Choi limped in from under the gun and then Casey Hayes moved all in for 540,000 from the next seat. Everyone folded back to Choi and he took about a half of a minute before making the call.

Choi: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Hayes: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

The board ran out {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{A-Spades}{J-Spades} for a rather sweat-less elimination of Hayes in ninth place. He took home over $23,000 for his finish and now only eight remain.

Reynolds/Jewell I - 6:22 PM

William Reynolds raised from the button, and Kyle Jewell called from the big blind to see a heads-up flop. It came {4-Clubs} {4-Spades} {4-Diamonds}, and Jewell check-called a bet. He checked again on the {7-Clubs} turn, and Reynolds fired another 180,000 at the pot. Jewell called again, and the {7-Spades} filled out the board.

"I folded a full house," Bryan Devonshire said from across the table. Reynolds bet it all this time, shoving in for more than 600,000. That finally got Jewell to release his cards into the muck.

Reynolds/Jewell II - 6:26 PM

On the very next hand, William Reynolds made his 110,000-chip raise from the cutoff seat, and this time Kyle Jewell three-bet to 280,000 from the small blind. Reynolds called, and it was heads up between the two again.

The flop brought {10-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {10-Spades}, and Jewell led out with a small bet of 140,000 chips. Reynolds called, and Jewell checked the {A-Spades} on fourth street. Reynolds fired a small bet of his own, 170,000. Jewell called, and both men checked the {2-Spades} river. Jewell showed up {A-Hearts} {4-Hearts}, and Reynolds couldn't beat it, mucking his way down to 1.035 million.

Daniel Cohen Eliminated in 8th Place ($29,087) - 6:35 PM

From the cutoff seat, Jared Kenworthy came in with an over-raise to 300,000. Two seats over, small blind Daniel Cohen quickly announced an all in for just over 1.1 million. When it came back to Kenworthy, he instantly called.

Showdown
Kenworthy: {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades}
Cohen: {A-Hearts} {K-Hearts}

"Well, there's a cooler. I guess I'm gone," Cohen said ho-hum. The flop didn't bring any immediate help, either, coming {3-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {8-Hearts}. The turn {J-Hearts} made things interesting though, and Cohen asked, "At least make it a red card." The river was the wrong color though, and the black {9-Spades} is the last card Cohen will see today. He's out in 8th place, and the remaining 7 players are off for a 10-minute break.

"Fun Way to Win" - 7:07 PM

First into the pot, William Reynolds raised to 135,000, and Kyle Jewell three-bet to 295,000. Reynolds paused for a moment before sliding all 1.21 million of his chips forward. Jewell waited until the moment Reynolds released the chips into the pot before snap-calling to put Reynolds to the test.

Showdown
Reynolds: {K-Clubs} {K-Hearts}
Jewell: {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}

“Nice hand, Will,” said several players at the table, including Jewell. He was going to need to get lucky to avoid giving Reynolds a dangerous double up.

The flop was just fine with the at-risk Reynolds as it came out {6-Hearts} {2-Spades} {9-Hearts}. The {A-Hearts} turn, however, was a disaster as Jewell found his card to put his opponent in a big hole with one card to come. Reynolds was looking for any king or any heart to stay alive, and the {5-Hearts} river met those criteria rather nicely. That's a four-flush and a double up for Reynolds, and he moves up over 2.5 million.

“Fun way to win...” he said with a big, relieved sigh.

“Welcome back to Chippyland,” Will Souther added.

Souther Fires Turn - 7:09 PM

From under the gun, Bryan Devonshire raised to 130,000. Will "Monkey" Souther called from the small blind and the two saw the flop come down {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Both players checked to see the {2-Diamonds} come out on the turn. Souther pounced and bet 225,000. Devonshire folded.

Reynolds with Huge Double Through Souther - 7:20 PM

William Reynolds was down below one million in chips at the last break, but he's back over 4.5 million now thanks to another huge double up. This time it came through Will "Monkey" Souther.

Reynolds raised to 135,000 from the cutoff seat and Souther called from the big blind. The flop came down {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Souther fired 150,000. Reynolds raised to 415,000 and then Souther moved all in. Reynolds called and tabled the {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. Souther held the {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

The turn was the {A-Diamonds} and the river the {A-Hearts}. Reynolds' kings stayed in the lead and when the chips were counted, he was all in for 2.215 million on the flop. Souther was knocked all the way down to just 235,000 in chips.

Bryan Devonshire Eliminated in 7th Place ($37,047) - 7:28 PM

Bryan Devonshire's run at a second WSOP Circuit Main Event title has come to an end and it wasn't the least bit pretty. He took a horrible beat to lose all of his chips to Edwin Choi in a blind-versus-blind battle.

Action folded to Choi in the small blind and he limped in. Devonshire raised to 170,000 from the big blind and then Choi came back with a reraise to 395,000. Devonshire moved all in for 950,000 and Choi went into the tank. After a couple minutes, Choi decided to call and said, "All right, I call, I was just making a play though." He then tabled the {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Devonshire turned up the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}.

The flop came down {8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and just like that, Choi spiked two pair on the flop to take the lead. The turn brought the {Q-Spades}, leaving Devonshire needing a king, queen or a four. The river completed the board with the {10-Diamonds} and that was not the card Devonshire was looking for, hitting the rail in seventh place.

Souther Shoves Once - 7:00 PM

Will Souther was down to just 175,000 when he open-shoved. "I think it's like 170... it's like a standard raise," Souther said matter-of-fact. Two seats over, Nick Jivkov made the call, and the cards were on their backs:

Souther: {A-Diamonds} {J-Spades}
Jivkov: {Q-Spades} {9-Hearts}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {K-Spades} {2-Hearts} {4-Spades} to double Souther up to 410,000.

Souther Shoves Twice - 7:31 PM

On the very next hand, Will Souther said, "All right, I'm all in again," and he moved his 400,000 chips into the middle. Guess who? Nick Jivkov quickly called once again, and the rest of the table ducked out to let Jivkov try again for the knockout.

Showdown
Souther: {A-Spades} {9-Spades}
Jivkov: {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}

"Oh, that's not good. You've got me crushed. What do I got?" Souther asked rhetorically. "I've got the nines and the spades." The flop came out {3-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {4-Diamonds}, and Souther said, "No help to Monkey."

The turn, however, would be some help. The {9-Diamonds} ripped off the deck, and Souther managed to find his unlikely double as the safe {10-Spades} filled out the board. Just like that, he's back to about 950,000 and back in this thing.

Will Souther Eliminated in 6th Place ($47,772) - 7:40 PM

A couple hands later, Will Souther open-shoved for about 900,000 total. Next door, Edwin Choi made the quick call, and he was heads up with a chance to finally put Monkey out to pasture. And the news was not good for the at-risk Souther as Choi turned up {K-Hearts} {K-Clubs}. Monkey's {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} was going to need some help to keep him around, but the dealer finally decided enough was enough. He ran out a board of {J-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {10-Hearts} {9-Clubs}, not enough to get him over the hump.

Souther doubled up twice in short order, but he could not find a third one to keep him around. He's out in 6th place, good for close to $60,000.

Choi appears to have taken the chip lead with that pot, sitting with 5.05 million chips in front of him.

Jewell's Overcall Is Good - 7:54 PM

From middle position, Edwin Choi raised to 175,000. William Reynolds called on the button and then Kurt Jewell called in the big blind. The three of them saw the flop come down {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and action checked around.

The turn brought the {Q-Clubs} to the board, pairing it with queens. Action checked around once again to see the {A-Clubs} fall on the river. Jewell checked and Choi fired 200,000. Reynolds paused and studied Choi before making the call. Jewell then overcalled.

Both Choi and Reynolds acknowledged that Jewell had to be good and Jewell tabled the {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. The other two mucked and he won the pot.

Jewell Three-Bets - 7:57 PM

From the cutoff seat, Jared Kenworthy raised to 150,000. Kurt Jewell three-bet to 455,000 from the button and won the pot.

Jivkov Doubles with Sevens - 7:59 PM

Kurt Jewell opened from under the gun to 135,000. Nick Jivkov reraised all in for 570,000 and Jewell called when action got back to him. He held the {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for two overs against the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for Jivkov.

The board ran through {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Jivkov doubled on the last hand before the dinner break.

The players are now on a one-hour dinner break.

Continuation Bet Wins for Jewell - 9:12 PM

From the cutoff seat, Kurt Jewell raised to 185,000. William Reynolds called from the big blind and the flop came down {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Reynolds checked the flop to Jewell and his continuation bet 230,000. Reynolds folded and Jewell won the pot.

Trips Beat Trips in Massive Pot - 9:18 PM

From the cutoff seat, Edwin Choi raised to 200,000. Jared Kenworthy called from the big blind and the flop came down {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Kenworthy checked and Choi fired 200,000. Kenworthy made the call.

The turn brought the {Q-Clubs} and both players checked to see the {8-Hearts} fall on the river. Kenworthy fired out 600,000 and then a minute or two went by before Choi acted. He put in a raise and made it 1.375 million to go. Kenworthy tanked for several long minutes before eventually making the call.

Choi tabled the {K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, but it wasn't good against Kenworthy's {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, which the jack kicker played. Choi thought this should have been a snap call given the way he played it and stated that verbally to Kenworthy, not seeming too happy about the hand. He was knocked back to 2.74 million while Kenworthy improved to 4.1 million.

Choi Doubles Back - 9:28 PM

from the cutoff seat, Kurt Jewell raised to 185,000. Edwin Choi was on the button and reraised to 450,000. Jewell made the call before the flop came down {9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

Jewell checked the flop to Choi and he fired 500,000 after taking a minute to think. Jewell made the call. The turn then brought the {A-Diamonds} and Jewell checked again. Another minute or two went by before Choi announced a bet of 700,000, leaving himself just over a million behind. Jewell paused and then moved all in. Choi called.

Choi: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Jewell: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}

The river card completed the board with the {3-Spades} and that sealed the double up for Choi. He was all in for a total of 1.705 million in chips on the turn.

Reraise is the Name of the Game9:31 PM

A four-hand series:

1: On the button, William Reynolds rised to 175,000, and Jared Kenworthy called from the small blind. In the big, though, Kurt Jewell squeezed in a raise to 430,000, and both opponents quickly folded in turn.

2: Now with the button, Kenworthy opened the pot to 200,000 before small blind Jewell moved all in. Kenworthy instantly folded.

3: On the next hand, Reynolds raised to 185,000 under the gun, but Kenworthy came right back over the top with a 500,000-chip wager. Not one to showboat, Reynolds quickly uncapped his cards and sent them to the muck.

4: The table folded around to the blinds where Nick Jivkov completed from the small. Reynolds checked the big, and the two men took a flop (yes, a flop!) of {7-Spades} {A-Spades} {10-Hearts}. Jivkov checked, allowing Reynolds to bet 120,000 before sneaking in a raise to 330,000. Reynolds called to see another card, and the turn was the {6-Hearts}. Jivkov grabbed his stacks and moved all in for 830,000.

“Did you keep it friendly with a nice ace preflop?” Reynolds asked. “That what you're telling me?”

Jivkov simply sat quietly, his chin resting on the rail. Reynolds took another few seconds to think it over before letting his hand go.

Choi's Turn to Get Involved9:50 PM

Kurt Jewell raised to open the pot, and Edwin Choi called from the button. The two men went heads up to a flop of {2-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {A-Hearts}, and Jewell continued out with a bet of 205,000. Choi quickly called, and Jewell checked to him on the {8-Diamonds} turn. Choi took his cue to bet 300,000, and Jewell called. Both men check-checked the {6-Diamonds} river. Jewell showed his {J-Spades} {8-Spades} first, and Choi waited to see it before tabling his better {A-Clubs} {J-Hearts} to take the pot and the chip lead once again. He's well over 5 million now.

Jewell Taking Control9:52 PM

Under the gun, Kurt Jewell raised to 190,000, and William Reynolds three-bet to 415,000 from the small blind. When it came back to Jewell, he announced an all in, and Reynolds yielded to the four-bet shove, dropping to 2.83 million in the process.

On the next hand, it was Nick Jivkov opening the pot, coming in for a raise to 185,000. Just like the last time, Jewell moved all in from the small blind, and that was enough to win him that pot as well.

A few hands later, Reynolds opened again, making it 190,000 to play. Jewell promptly reraised to 505,000, and Reynolds was once again forced to surrender.

Nick Jivkov Eliminated in 5th Place ($62,384) - 10:06 PM

From the button, Edwin Choi raised to 160,000. Nick Jivkov moved all in from the small blind for about 925,000. Choi snap-called when the action got back to him and tabled the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}. Jivkov held the {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

It wasn't all bad news for Jivkov on the flop of {Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, giving him a pair of queens. The turn brought the {K-Diamonds} and then the river the {J-Clubs}. Choi's aces held up and Jivkov was sent to the rail in fifth place for $62,284.

The Edwin Choi Show - 10:10 PM

From under the gun, William Reynolds raised to 175,000. Edwin Choi called from the big blind and the flop came down {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Choi had checked in the dark and then Reynolds checked behind, but after he witnessed the flop come down.

The turn brought the {2-Diamonds} and Choi fired out 200,000. Reynolds folded and Choi won the pot.

Guess What? Choi WIns Another - 10:15 PM

From under the gun, Edwin Choi raised to 200,000. Kurt Jewell called from the big blind and the flop came down {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Both players checked to see the {K-Diamonds} fall on the turn. Jewell fired 210,000 and Choi raised to 550,000. Jewell folded and another pot was pushed Choi's way.

Big Double for Jewell Through Choi - 10:18 PM

From the button, Kurt Jewell raised to 190,000. Edwin Choi flat-called from the small blind and the flop came down {Q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. Choi checked and Jewell fired 225,000. Choi put in a raise, but only for the minimum to 450,000. Jewell called.

The turn added the {K-Clubs} to the board and both players checked to see the {A-Spades} fall on the river. Choi fired 875,000 and then Jewell moved all in for 2.605 million. Choi snapped him off with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}. Jewell held the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} for a set of queens and that beat the two pair for Choi.

Jewell retook the chip lead with this pot, but Choi still had over four million at the end of the hand. Shortly after the hand, the players went on another 10-minute break.

Kenworthy Pushing Chips - 10:40 PM

Edwin Choi limped in from the button, and William Reynolds completed from the small blind. In the big, Jared Kenworthy made it 400,000 straight, and only Choi called the raise to go heads up to a flop. It brought {2-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {J-Spades}, and Kenworthy's follow-up bet of 425,000 was enough to get the job done and fold Choi out of the way.

A couple hands later, it was Kenworthy raising to 225,000 under the gun. Kurt Jewell made the call next door, and William Reynolds came along from the big blind as well. The three men took a {7-Hearts} {J-Spades} {K-Spades} flop, and Reynolds led out for 440,000 chips. Kenworthy thought it over for a moment before announcing an all in raise, quickly folding Jewell. Reynolds followed suit as well, surrendering his cards back to the dealer and dropping 665,000 chips from his stack.

Reynolds Continues to Get Abused10:51 PM

William Reynolds is having a hard time dragging a pot here this level. We just saw him open to 230,000 from the button, only to have Jared Kenworthy three-bet him to 700,000 straight. Reynolds could not call, and he elected to fold and save his 2.1 million remaining chips for a better spot.

Choi Gets a Piece of Jewell10:56 PM

Kurt Jewell raised to 240,000 from the button, and Edwin Choi three-bet to 625,000 next door. Jewell called to see a flop, and the dealer spread out {9-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {7-Spades}. Jewell checked to the raiser, but Choi checked behind to see the {Q-Clubs} land on fourth street. It was time for a bet now, and Choi fired out 500,000. Jewell called, and the scary {J-Spades} hit the river. After a slight pause to consider, Choi announced an all in. Jewell spent a short stint in the think tank before releasing his cards, and Choi needled him by flashing his airball {K-Hearts} {4-Hearts}, a miss, but good enough to take down the pot anyways.

Jewell's Turn to Three-Bet - 11:03 PM

Jared Kenworthy tried to raise to 300,000 from the small blind, but Kurt Jewell wanted to make it a bit more. He three-bet to 860,000 from the big blind and Kenworthy folded.

More for Choi - 11:06 PM

Kurt Jewell raised from the small blind to 240,000. Edwin Choi defended with a call from the big blind and the flop came down {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Jewell checked and Choi fired 250,000. That was good enough to win the pot as Jewell folded.

Set of Sevens for Jewell - 11:11 PM

From under the gun, Edwin Choi raised to 250,000. That was two-and-a-half big blinds and Kurt Jewell made the call from the big blind. The flop came down {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Jewell fired out straight away. He made it 365,000 to go, the amount of days in the year. Choi made the call.

Fourth street was the {Q-Hearts} added some more love to the board. Jewell fired 575,000 and Choi made the call.

The river completed the board with the {2-Hearts}, another heart, and both players checked. Jewell tabled the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a set of sevens. Choi held onto his hand, not mucking it right away. He gave it a double check and then tossed it into the middle.

Jewell improved to 6.575 million and Choi dropped to 4.35 million.

Jewell's Bet Is Good - 11:16 PM

On the board of {Q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}, Kurt Jewell fired 365,000. William Reynolds tanked for some time and then mucked his hand.

Reynolds Having a Tough Go - 11:18 PM

William Reynolds raised to 225,000 before he was reraised to what looked like 635,000 total. We never got the count because Reynolds couldn't call, and his stack has slipped down to 1.25 million.

Reynolds Finds a Spot - 11:25 PM

Under the gun, Edwin Choi limped in for the minimum. Next door, William Reynolds moved all in for the 860,000 chips he had left. The table folded back to Choi, and he would spend an agonizing few minutes in the tank. He cut out the calling chips at least 8 or 10 times, cutting them down and then returning them to his stack... then cutting them back out. He finally separated the 760,000 more from his stack, eyeballing the potential damage. He pump-fake folded once or twice, then pulled his cards back and double-checked them. Then cut down the call again. It was a brutal process, but Reynolds wasn't squirming. Finally, with a shrug, Choi slid the calling chips forward.

Showdown
Choi: {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts}
Reynolds: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}

The flop was just fine with Reynolds, coming a blank {7-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {4-Diamonds}. He could do better than that, though, and the turn {A-Clubs} drew a knock on the felt from Choi as his opponent had locked up the pot. Reynolds has found his double up, moving back to 1.81 million.

Choi Misses a Couple Chances - 11:38

Jared Kenworthy raised to 250,000 under the gun, and only small blind Edwin Choi came along with him. The dealer ran a board of {J-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {10-Clubs} {K-Spades} {2-Spades} with the two men check-checking through fourth street. On the river though, Kenworthy put out a small bet of 150,000, and Choi made the call to see his hand.

It was {2-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} for Kenworthy, rivering the set of deuces. Choi let out a little hiss of disgust, most likely at himself, then flung his cards into the muck.

A Big One to End the Level - 11:51 PM

In a battle of the blinds, Kurt Jewell started us off with a raise to 240,000. In the big, Edwin Choi three-bet to 380,000, only to see Jewell pop it right back to 1 million straight. Choi flatted to see a flop, and it was heads up with more than 2 million in the middle already.

The dealer laid out a flop of {K-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {4-Spades}, and Jewell kept the heat on with a bet of 720,000. It wasn't very big, but it was big enough to get the job done as Choi relinquished his cards. He's back to 2.2 million now.
