Welcome to Biloxi, Mississippi for the next stop on the World Series of Poker Circuit! The IP Casino Resort & Spa is host to the latest tour stop, the first here in Biloxi. With the buy-in set at $1,500+$100, a field of over 200 players is expected.
You can expect that we'll be seeing a lot of familiar circuit faces on the felt for this one. Plenty of players have earned themselves some points for the National Championship race and you can check out the leader board to see where everyone stands.
The tournament kicks off today at 12:00 p.m. local time here in Biloxi, Misissippi and PokerNews will be there from the floor to bring you all the coverage. We'll see you in a bit!

Cards are in the air here in Biloxi! The plan is to play for twelve hours, putting the end of Day 1 at right around midnight.
Here in "Studio B", there are multiple TV screens and projections. While most are the tournament clock and tournament information, a few are for football, specifically the New Orleans Saints game. We are certainly in Saints territory, only 90 miles outside of New Orleans.
Players throughout the field are wearing Saints hats and jerseys and are fixated on the game in the early stages of the tournament.
The WSOPC has a following all it's own, and many of the regulars are here looking to add a gold ring to their list of accomplishments. Players spotted thus far include:
- Aaron Brandt, the WSOPC Biloxi points leader, is looking to add to his total.
- Poker Hall of Famer T.J. Cloutier has taken his seat.
- Second place finisher in the WSOPC Council Bluffs H.O.R.S.E. event, Alan Cutler is here.
- Mark "Pegasus" Smith, four-time circuit ring winner, is hoping to win another today in order to break his tie with Men "The Master" Nguyen as the all-time ring count.
- Shiva Dudani, currently second on the National Leaderboard with 152.5 points, is in action.
- Will "Monkey" Souther, who final tabled the WSOPC Hammond Main Event and finished sixth, has been spotted.
- Brett Schwertley, who won the Circuit's largest event ever in Event #1 of the Hammond stop, is looking to clear this much more reasonable field.
- Also in action are "Captain" Tom Franklin and Gabe Costner
