Day 3 Started

Twenty Players Return for the Ring, Phan Leads

After two long days at the WSOP Circuit Harrah's Atlantic City Main Event, 20 players return to battle for a WSOP-C ring, a seat at the National Championship and $188,830. Leading the charge is Tuan Phan, who has a slight chiplead over Mike Devinsky.

A long day is in store for the remaining players — they will have to play down to a winner, no matter how long it takes. The short stacks will have their work cut out for them, as the bottom five players are all under 20 big blinds.

Five-figure payouts start at 15th place and a final-table finish guarantees $17,516 just in time for the holidays. A fifth-place finish could provide Lexus commercial Christmas with $47,684. The top two finishers will return home with a six-figure prize.

One thing is for sure, we'll crown a first-time ring winner later tonight or sometime tomorrow morning. Follow all the WSOP-C action live on Pokernews kicking off shortly!

Fielder Out in 19th

In a limped pot pre flop, the board read {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. After a series of raises and re-raises, Jeff Fielder was all in for an astounding 718,000, and Hao Le had him at risk with a flush draw.

Showdown
Fielder: {9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Le: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

"Diamond!" someone yelled on the rail. "Diamond!"

The {10-Hearts} wasn't a diamond, but it gave Le extra outs. Fielder was one card away from a massive double up, but it wasn't to be. The {2-Diamonds} slammed on the river, giving Le a winning flush, and eliminating Fielder from the tournament. While the dealer was counting out the stacks to verify the knockout, Fielder was taking pictures with his phone - he wanted to document the crazy hand that eliminated him from the Main Event.
