Jimmy Born Eliminated in 11th Place ($14,099)

Jimmy Born - Eliminated in 11th place.
Jimmy Born - Eliminated in 11th place.

Jimmy Born opened to 45,000 pre flop, and Danny Rohde defended his big blind. The flop came down {2-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, and Rohde checked. Born continued for 40,000, Rohde check-raised to 117,000, and Born moved all in. Rohde snapped it off.

Showdown
Born: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Rohde: {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

Born needed an ace to stay alive, but both the turn ({3-Clubs}) and the river ({7-Clubs}) were bricks, and he was eliminated in 11th place.

We are now down to our unofficial final table. The players are redrawing for seats, and we will list them when they're available.

Deuce is Good

Level 26 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Hao Le opened to 55,000 from early position, Hanh Nguyen called behind him, and the action folded all the way to Tuan Phan in the big blind. Phan tanked, then slid out two towers of grey T5,000 chips, three-betting to over 200,000. Le released, Nguyen folded, and Phan flashed the {2-Spades}.

In the words of "Redbull" Robbie Thompson - it is good.

Tuan Phan lands the first big blow.

Manh Nguyen opened for 65,000 from under the gun and action folded around to Tuan Phan in the cutoff. Phan called and the blinds released. The flop came {4-Clubs} {4-Spades} {A-Spades}, Nguyen checked and Phan bet 110,000 and Nguyen called. The turn brought the {7-Clubs} and Nguyen checked again. Phan took his time before sliding out 250,000. Nguyen called after some thought and the river brought the {10-Clubs}.

Nguyen checked a third time and Phan checked behind. Nguyen announced ace but Phan tabled {A-Clubs} {J-Diamonds} and Nguyen mucked his hand.

Not Showing This Time

Level 26 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Denis Gnidash opened to 55,000 from middle position, and the action folded to Tuan Phan in the big blind. After a moment for thought, he raised to 355,000. Gnidash looked the other way, and was visibly frustrated - he only had about 500,000 behind.

After tanking for close to two minutes, Gnidash finally folded. "Show one?" he asked Phan.

"Nahhhhhhhhhhhh," Phan replied.

Phan Staying Active but First to Blink

Mike Devinsky got the best of Phan.
Mike Devinsky got the best of Phan.

Mike Devinsky opened for 60,000 in late position and Tuan Phan called from the button. The blinds folded and the flop came {8-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds}.

Devinsky bet 65,000 and Phan announced raise. Phan first slid the 65,000 in the pot then took a few moments to consider his raise. He ultimately decided to add an additional 150,000 to the bet. Devinsky moved all in, which would cost Phan another 561,000.

Phan stood up from his chair and counted out a call. He counted what he had left behind and spent some time thinking about his action. Phan kicked his cards back to the dealer and sat back down in his chair.
