Playing Down to a Final Table Today!

Over the last two days, 306 players have walked through the doors of Harrah’s Rincon with hopes that they will be the next player to etch their name into the history books as a WSOP-C Main Event Champion. Today, we will play from the 43 still alive, down to the final nine. Welcome to Day 2 of the WSOP-C Rincon Main Event!

Two players have emerged above the rest as our chip leaders, and amazingly, they are separated by just two antes. David Randall late registered for Day 1a after finishing third in the $1,000 buy in event earlier that day. He hit the ground running, and worked his stack up to 330,000 by days end. However, he was topped yesterday by Lynda Tran, who used a huge pot in the 16th level yesterday to propel herself to a stack of 331,000. She is the chip leader coming into today.

We have a handful of notables joining these two lucky players today. This list includes Soi Nguyen (298,000), Eric Baldwin (260,000), Ray Henson (185,000), Valentin Vornicu (112,500), Shawn Daniels (78,000),Chad Brown (59,500) and David Singontiko (46,500).

There will be one number that the players have in mind as they come in today: 33. That is the number of players who will be in the money. That means that ten unfortunate players will leave this afternoon empty handed. Once the bubble bursts, the remaining players will race to the final table, where we will end play today.

The players will be coming in soon, and start unbagging their chips. By tonight, we will know who the nine elite players are that make up the next WSOP-C final table! Be sure to stay tuned here at Pokernews as we bring you all the action on this December Sunday!
