Faraz Jaka
Faraz Jaka

Faraz Jaka and an opponent were heads up with the board reading {k-Clubs}{a-Spades}{5-Spades}. Jaka check-called a bet on the flop, and the turn was the {j-Hearts}. Jaka checked again, and his opponent tossed out 1,000. Jaka called.

The {5-Hearts} completed the board, and Jaka checked a third time. His opponent fired 2,000, and Jaka tank-called. Jaka's opponent tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, and Jaka mucked his hand.

More Slipping for Jaka

In four-way action on the {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop, everyone checked to see the {J-Clubs} pair the board on the turn. The first player checked, Faraz Jaka bet 300, the next player called, and the fourth player folded. The first player who had checked also folded, leaving heads-up action to the river.

The {5-Diamonds} completed the board on the end, and Jaka checked. His opponent bet 400, but Jaka couldn't make the call and folded his hand. He dropped back to right about 10,000 in chips.

Engel Gone

Four players saw the {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop for 1,350 apiece. Ari Engel, who currently leads the Hammond tournament leader board, fired all in for about 2,100. He was called by one of his opponents who had flopped a set of fours with the {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Engel held the {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

The turn gave some sweat when the {3-Spades} landed to give Engel a straight draw, but the {K-Diamonds} on the river sent him to the rail.

Holloway Bluffed

Jacob Bazeley and Chad Holloway were heads up with the board reading {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Bazeley moved all in for around 10,000, which was a pot-sized bet, and Holloway went deep into the tank.

Eventually, Holloway angled his cards into the muck, and Bazeley turned over {k-Hearts}{j-Spades} for just king-high.
