Nam Nails The River

Nam Le raised it up in early position, and the small blind moved all in for 15,000. Le made the call with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, but he was well behind his opponent's {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. The flop and turn didn't help Le, coming down {5-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{a-Spades}. However, the {10-Hearts} hit the river, giving Le two pair and the winning hand.

After that pot, Le is one of our chip leaders with 168,000.

Tehan Takes The Chip Lead

We didn't catch the hand that bumped him up, but when we saw Joe Tehan, he was all smiles with a mountain of chips in front of him. It took us about a minute to count it all up, and by our estimations, he has about 320,000, which is easily the chip lead at the moment.

Deeb Donezo

Last year's champ is gone, and it wasn't pretty for Deeb.

All in before the flop for an unspecified amount, Deeb showed us his holdings, {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.

On the flop of {K-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts} a player on the button had bet 12,000, and Doug Lee called from early position.

"I'm still drawing live to an Ace I think," Deeb told us. "I think that guy probably has a king. The other guy is steaming, he doesn't have anything."

On the {Q-Spades} turn, action went check, check between Lee and the other player.

"I picked up four extra outs," Deeb said to us.

Then, on the {9-} river, Deeb stood up from the table to walk away.

The player on the button showed, {9-Spades}{7-Spades} for a rivered pair, and Doug Lee mucked.

"I was doing great against that hand," Deeb said as he walked away.

And with that, we will have a new champ.

No Luck For Nguyen

Soi Nguyen was in a race against a short stacked opponent, with Nguyen holding {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and his opponent having {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. The board ran down {q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, and Nguyen shipped the chips over to his opponent.

Nguyen is still doing fine with 72,000, but the average stack is now 90,000, so he has some work to do.

Jejelowo Still Crushing His Table

AJ Jejelowo crushed his table all day yesterday and now he's crushing his table again today. We just saw him take down a smaller preflop pot, but that pot pushed him up above the 150,000 chip mark.

A player under the gun raised to 6,400 and in the hijack, Jejelowo raised it to 16,000. Action folded back to the player under the gun who took his time before finally throwing it away.

Tehan is a Monster

Joe Tehan is raking in pots and taking names. We just saw him scoop an almost 150,000 chip pot again.

In the hand, a player raised to 12,000 from under the gun. Tehan made the call from middle position. Then, the player immediately to Tehan's left shoved all in for 47,300 total. Action folded back to the player under the gun who made the call. And after a while in the tank, Tehan also made the call.

Flop: {2-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

The player under the gun checked, and Tehan made a bet of 20,000 into a side pot. The player under the gun made the call.

Turn: {5-Clubs}

The player under the gun checked again, and this time Tehan pulled out the big guns and fired a bet of 50,000. After a long while in the tank, the player under the gun folded and the cards were turned on their backs.

Tehan: {4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
All-In Player: {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

Tehan had flopped huge and already had his opponent drawing dead, because a {3-} would give him a higher straight.

The river was a meaningless {2-Diamonds}, and with that pot Tehan moved to around 440,000 chips.
