The player in the hijack raised and the small blind called along with Jim Carroll in the big blind.
A flop reading was dealt and the small blind checked. Carroll bet 3,000 and the hijack folded but the small blind check-called.
The turn fell the and was checked through to the
river. The small blind fired 4,500 and Carrol raised to 14,500. His opponent hit the tank for a couple of minutes, then called. Carroll turned over
for trip jacks and his opponent sent his hand to the muck.
"Did you really just look at one card?" asked a player at the table.
"I saw one. I saw the king," answered Carroll.
