Atoui Pulls Huge Bluff in Six-Way Pot

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Kamel Atoui
Kamel Atoui

Kamel Atoui managed to double up his stack without having a showdown. The hand took place over twelve minutes and it all started with an under-the-gun limp. The player who was up next decided to raise to 1,300 and he was called by [Removed:226] from the cutoff, Atoui from the button, small blind Yves Siess, the player in the big blind and the limper.

The flop fell {2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and it checked around to Luksenberg in the cutoff. He bet 2,600 and it was Atoui who raised it up to 7,600. Siess called from the small blind. It folded around to Luksenberg and they continued three-way to the turn after he had called.

The turn was the {3-Clubs} and Siess checked to Luksenberg. Luksenberg continued put in a big bet of 15,000. Both Atoui and small Siess called the bet. Siess thought about his decision for over two minutes, but he didn't fold.

The {8-Spades} river completed the board and it checked around to Atoui on the button. He had only 21,850 behind and the pot had about 70,000 in it. He managed to make both Siess and Luksenberg fold to take down the big pot without a showdown.

Atoui showed {J-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a bluff after both players had shoved their cards to the dealer. Siess took an extra long look to see if he could make anything of it, but he was indeed just bluffed with jack high.

Atoui is known for his aggressive playing style. He also pulled off a big bluff at the World Poker Tour Deepstacks event here in 2018 in a pot against Michiel Brosky.
